I don't believe there will be a sweeter offer than what the jazz will end up giving him. My guess is that it is a full max with a player option for his final year.
I would much rather have Ivey than that knicks first which I think could be in the 25-30 range. If the pistons were willing to do Ivey and an unprotected 29 pick then I would do it but I doubt they make that offer. My guess is they want to get a look at Ivey and Cade together with a new coach...
I wish they were but we know that isn't usually the case. Teams aren't usually willing to play hardball over a player option 5yrs down the line if the player is demanding it.
Ingram makes sense next summer if he hits the market. Get the high draft pick and then take a swing at Ingram. If you can snag him then great but if not you just keep building around our young core.
I'm hoping what we have already done or more so not done is a sign that with or without Lauri this year is about getting the youngsters consistent minutes while a having a few vets to help keep them grounded. If there was a market for Clarkson I think he would have already been gone but he...
They are most likely not talking to Lauri directly about this but rather his agent. You can guarantee that they have had discussions about what the team is thinking and what type of offer will be on the table starting tomorrow.
The hard part will be keeping Russell off the glass if Wallace is preoccupied with Duncan. He is going to create a ton of extra possessions offensively.
Any team with a prime Jordan and Pippen is a contender in any era. Plug that team into this era though and I think we see Kukoc play a much larger role.
Not sure how prime Westbrook paired with 2 of the greatest shooters of all time, a stretch 4 as well as a great pick and roll big drags the team down. Good luck keeping him out of the paint and creating clean looks for everyone.
No we have seen him play against big, super athletic and elite highschool players. We also just saw him hold his own against actual nba players as a 17yr old.
Can't stand the guy because I think a trio of Mitchell, Hayward and Gobert could have won a title but he had a solid career and made a crap load of money.
