John Collins to Chicago still makes sense and is plausible. Zach Collins and Jevon Carter or Huerter and Carter. Give us a second for our trouble. We waive both guys or maybe keep Carter to beat up on the young guys in practice. Feels like a steal for Chicago and a good fit imo. Giddy/Collins...
In the next week or two when these deals shake out I wonder if a team comes for Collins. Lauri I think would be an in-season move if his play improved and a team thinks they have a chance this year.
I think if we get closer to camp and they haven't solved Collins you push a buyout maybe if he...
Miami standing pat this offseason would be so wild to me. So many cheap ways to improve and that team is so stale. East is wide open. They think they getting FAs or something in the next couple years. Have fun guys.
Sacramento still definitely a possibility. Doing Derozan (to a third team) and Saric for Collins gets them some breathing room from the tax and they need some frontcourt help still. They also may find a home for Monk in some sort of three way.
Its still kind of wild to me that Monk and Sexton...
Yeah... I'd say he's in a reasonable "meets expectations" zone for muscle watch season. After summer league put another good 5 lbs on. I just want him to have enough meat on the bones so that we don't have to hear the "you can't judge him on what he is doing because he's too skinny" excuse.
He said he looks like he has... He didn't put Cody on a scale. He looks a bit bigger based on pics. I wouldn't fully doubt 20lbs but its not 20 lbs of muscle or close to it.
Probably true. To make another argument on your side... we'd also likely be sitting with 30-40M in cap space right now which would likely produce some nice benefits in facilitating deals.
I think we have a path to recover from the mess up. But it might just stay what it is.
Anything from 25-30M AAV just get it done imo... but its not a hard line. I doubt he wants a lot more than that based on the noise around it.
If someone comes in with a big offer and you could have locked him down at 30 or traded him for everything the Lakers are offering... Its a tremendous...
Part of the this was the optionality (I get it... its a hiss and a byword) but everything since the Lauri extension broke the wrong way basically.
- Cody was trash... if we had a rookie who popped immediately then maybe you want a guy in his prime.
- Taylor snapped his leg in half... similar...
25M a year or maybe slightly frontloaded really doesn't change our world cap wise over the 15M caphold he has. Might matter more for a team like the Lakers with real cap space power. It isn't a reason for us to hold off locking up a guy imo. He balls out and the Wiz or Nets throw out 40M because...
