Who is your point guard? If it is Collier or Carter, yes tanking will be pretty easy. Flip is fun, but he is also a defensive liability currently. We would have very little depth that can play at NBA average.
Kessler is better than Poetl, of course he will get more. Honestly, I think the Jazz already have a number. They may just be waiting around to see if an offer pops up that niether of the Jazz or Kessler can refuse. Musical chairs for centers is getting pretty intense.
It has been obvious since the trade that big men are in more demand than small guards. It might be that Austin Ainge knows the market better than the geniuses at Jazzfanz.
Or it could be blind luck, who knows?
If you pull someone off waivers you take the entire contract. When a player is signed after clearing waivers the new contract is subtracted from the old contract. But, yes, the cap hit for the old team does not change.
Other than being about the same height, uber athletic, and able to hit the midrange they really don't have similar play styles. Young Rudy played in the post and bullied people with his athleticism. He was never a prolific 3 point shooter (maybe an artifact of the league when he played.) He...
Jazz draft a lot of white guys? More than any other team? Jazz have drafted like 4 white guys since Enes Kanter (the last 21 picks that they kept.) This **** is pretty tired.
We are running with a second year pg. That is going to be rough, wins will be hard fought. However, the time has come to prioritize defense and we can't do that with Sexton, Clarkson, and Paper Mache at the Center spot. The Jazz need a proper center when Kessler sits.
Just like getting Olynyk...
It is insane to me that a team selected Kon ahead of Ace Bailey. Absolutely insane.
It also appears that if someone were to just teach Ace a proper pick and roll, he might even be better than Harper.
