I think at some level Colins was Markkenan insurance. The play a similar archetype that fits well with Kessler. I we had fould a great deal for Lauri, we had Collins. Now, however, we still have Lauri and it looks like we are keeping him and we have Flip as Collins insurance.

He was really good on defense when not matched up on Bona. Cody has his spots for three and that last second shot was not near any of them. I think he was surprised to get the ball.

The biggest issue I see with Ace right now is that he has been coached exclusively as a wing. He doesn't seem to understand screens or the pick and roll at all. He's never needed either. So, unless the guards come and deliver the ball to him in his spot, he just kind if floats. Philly figured...

Today was GOOD Cody Williams. The majority of the people in this thread can get bent.

Bailey is going to need stuff run for him as a Rookie on offense. His first lesson is learning this fact.

I also want to point out Brice's 2 blocked shots. He looked really, really good in a type of game that isn't necessarily his comfort zone.

Bona might be the best Summer League center playing. He might not necessarily be the best center in summer league, but he is the best center FOR summer League by a mile.

I watched 4 Arizona games live this year. I never would have told you "That guy right there is the NBA player!" I do understand investing in 3 and D players though.

The good thing is that none of the core Jazz youngsters looked overmatched by Summer League play. Doing well in Summer League isn't always an indicator of NBA success, but looking physically overmatched in Summer League is a pretty strong indicator.

VJ did well, but in an NBA game, you are going to live with their best player going 28 points on 27 shots. Guards actually did a good job defending.

Cody and Brice looked pretty damn good.

Ace also looked kind of gassed earlier in the second half.
