    Keeping Lauri seems increasingly pointless

Not more than any other rookie his age. Athletic long dudes that can shoot seems to do OK in the NBA. We don't have to "wait for his shot to develop."

    Keeping Lauri seems increasingly pointless

Stockton was 34 when the Jazz finally made it to the finals. Jazz are looking to compete after this season. I don't see us adding a bigger free agent than a 28 year old Lauri Markkanen or a 24 year old Walker Kessler. A 28 year old John Collins at a reduced salary wouldn't suck either.

Utah Jazz Select Ace Bailey, Pick 5

Dr. J had a home in St. George for a while, so going by reddit anecdote standards we are totally a destination.

    OK. Congratulations, I guess. . .

    How bad/good is Cody Williams?

If you look at him at the start of the year and again at the end of the year he was bigger. I think it was 20 pounds since his last official measurement.

Salt Lake City Summer League: July 5-8 @ Huntsman Center

It's all Omar Coopers all the way down. Get them all pastrami Burgers, a weekend in Park City, and send them out two by two to spread the joy about living in Utah.

I find it interesting how people on this board always know exactly what deals were on the table for our players at the time. Rumors are rumors. Generally, even when a deal is consumated, it falls short of the expected "deal" that fans were expecting. We really don't know exactly what the deals...

I think if Hayward hadn't drug his stupid decision all the way to the 4th of July, he wouldn't have had as much hate. Every time those fireworks go off, I remember that Haywood sucks.

If we get into the playoffs with what we got, that would be a damn good outcome. It is not a likely outcome, but it would mean our young guys are great. Reality though is that we are going to play a lot of young guys a lot of minutes which doesn't win a lot of basketball games AND we play in...

We had different priorities at the end of the season. At some point you have to develop players. Look at what happened to Houston and Detroit when they started putting NBA players around their youngsters. The way the west is stacked, we can play actual basketball and still get a great pick. We...

Winning trades is how you build a freaking team. How is constantly losing trades going for the Pelicans? They keep getting that lottery luck we dream about and they still suck, year after year.

Playing with starters certainly helped Collier. Bailey will need spacing to work on his game as well. Jazz bench minutes last year were absolute soup. I don't want to watch a full game of that slop.

It will be a few months before Hendricks can play heavy minutes and Bailey likely gets Sexton's minutes and Carter gets Clarkson's minutes, both of whom will be way worse as rookies. I actually like Collins and if we have the option of keeping him after next year, I wouldn't mind it.
