The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

It's now been over a month since the draft and I still can't get over NOP trading their 2026 pick to Atlanta.

He's the type of player I would probably appreciate today, but as a teenager I couldn't stand watching him.

    Food on the Road

I used to travel a lot for work and to different places, but now I don't travel nearly as much and when I do it's 90% to the same place. I've been to Milwaukee a few times, but don't remember where I ate there, sorry. When I travel now I actually prefer to go to the grocery store and buy...

The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

The other part of my statement that isn't exactly true is that I didn't say anything about contract size. Obviously a guy on a rookie contract is much more valuable than a guy on a contract above the MLE.

If an undersized guy can defend and do other stuff besides score, I think they would be valued. Defending/doing other stuff is hard when you are small though, so they are definitely correlated.

Scoring guards who don't defend have become the running backs of the NBA, they just don't have any value. I like Ivey, but I wouldn't give up any real assets to get him and there is no reason for Detroit to move a guy on a rookie contract without getting any value back.

2025 All Time Bad Utah Jazz Draft (SIGN UP, BETTER THAN THEE JAZZ FAN"S DRAFT)

There are only 167 players who have played 1,000+ minutes for the Jazz. I think you have to keep it to just 5 players. FWIW, I would love to pick someone who currently sits at 760 minutes, so maybe the minute limit can be a little flexible.

2025 All Time Bad Utah Jazz Draft (SIGN UP, BETTER THAN THEE JAZZ FAN"S DRAFT)

Everybody who has ever played for the Jazz has been awesome! Typically just the coaches that have held them back. Just kidding. Is there an easy way to get a list of players who meet the minutes minimum? Seems like the biggest barrier to being fun, having to look up minutes played for the Jazz.

NBA Summer League Wild Overreaction Thread

I still think Harper is going to be very good, but like most really young PGs, he is going to take at least 2-3 years before he makes a positive impact. Since Wemby is ready to compete now, I thought San Antonio should have focused on moving the 2nd pick.

NBA Summer League Wild Overreaction Thread

Javon Small only played two games in Vegas, and admittedly they were at the end of the SL, so less good players were playing, but here are his stats per RealGM: Per36Minutes: 26.4pts, 7.0reb, 10.9ast on 48/50/89 shooting splits. That would be 12th highest points and highest assists of all...

NBA Summer League Wild Overreaction Thread

Here is an overreaction and confirmation bias from summer league: Javon Small might be the third second round pick that Memphis has nailed in a row. He'll likely only get playing time if there are injuries, but it feels like that is almost guaranteed with Memphis and specifically Ja right now...
