I know you said only 5 rounds, but I think a “playoff” rotation of 8 players - 5 starters and 3 backups would be appropriate. Totally up to Cy since this is your thing. . . but I’d be down for it.
I want to warn you now that even though we’re making these teams garbage, I’m only going to draft guys that were recognizable Jazz busts - even with the minimum minutes played threshold. Not sure if that’s what you’re going for, but that’s my game plan.
I know this team is really young already, but I feel like adding Dillon Jones for basically nothing would’ve been worth a flier. Especially with his time at Weber State - would’ve likely been a fan favorite. Seems like a solid pickup for the Wizards.
He looks good there. Essentially though, he reminds me of 19 year old Taylor Hendricks, which would make him somewhat redundant for the Jazz. Nice fit for Chicago though. They’re building a fun, young team out there.
Regardless, I think the Jazz should start planting the seeds (anonymously of course) that AJ’s and Boozer’s family, girlfriend, agents, etc. are totally bat-crap crazy and you don’t want that heat.
I’m curious to see what they get for him, but the S&T was always going to be difficult. Unless the contract is very favorable, I can’t see them getting much value for him at that point.
My final top 5 ranking was Flagg, Harper, Bailey, Johnson, Edgecombe. Would’ve been extremely happy with any of them tbh.
I personally think all 5 guys have star potential.
Anderson's maternal grandmother grew up in Jamaica; her father was Chinese and married a Jamaican woman, and they lived in Jamaica.
He has family from his grandmother’s side that lives in China.
