I think if the Jazz want him, they’d have to work out some sort of sign and trade deal with Chicago. Otherwise, I agree that the Bulls match. Not sure what they’d want back, but they’d almost certainly want to get back more than they gave up to get him.

I think the Bulls will hold their nose and match the contract. Still think the Jazz should kick the tires and see what happens.

If anything, I’m bullish on keeping Lauri Markkanen and letting him grow into the “top dog” franchise player role surrounded by a bunch of young guys - instead of just getting a massive haul of draft assets and young players for him from a different team. . . :)

If you have a deal that nets anything positive, I think you just take it. Keep churning things until you get something you want out of it. Moving Collins saved the team money and opened up playing time for the young guys. That in itself is a win for now. I’m curious if there’s anything else that...

I didn’t get to watch the whole game, so based on the comments in here I assumed they lost. Philly looked decent. The fact that the young guys can come out and compete AND win a close game is great - even in summer league. Ace, WCJ, Cody, Collier, Sensabaugh and Flip all did some good things...

I thought Ace and WCJ both looked good tonight. Pretty excited about their futures tbh. Also pleased with the improvement from Sensabaugh and Cody. Jazz aren’t expected to be good this year, but it’s nice to see the young guys show some flashes tonight. Collier and Flip too.

Future seems a helluva lot more exciting than it did a month ago tbh.

It would be nice if Keyonte George can clean up some stuff and be a Jordan Clarkson level 6th man type guy. I’m still a believer in him.

Ace Bailey - If he’s “the guy” then this whole 4 year tanktastic debacle will end up being worth it. It’s a lot to put on one guys’ shoulders, but he’s the most likely “franchise” guy the Jazz have acquired since the Donovan/Rudy trades.

Even though I overdrafted the last guy, I’m pretty happy that I was able to land all of the original Core4 members. Burks, Hayward, Favors and Kanter We’ll just call my team the Core4+
