NBA Summer League Wild Overreaction Thread

he looked bad to me. i guess we all have our biases as we watch. ultimately, if we forget about our biases and what we think we saw, he was inefficient, turned the ball over a ton and fouled a lot. he was also a -13 and i want to continue to qualify this with the fact i understand he's...

NBA Summer League Wild Overreaction Thread

the fears love after a 4-11, 1-4, 7 turnover 6 foul "performance. fears might become the best guard in the history of the nba, but that game certainly wasn't indicative of anything special or even good for that matter. dude is only 18 so can get a lot better, but he NEEDs to get a lot...

    How bad/good is Cody Williams?

"i don't watch the games" so immediately disregard all your basketball opinions. that makes things easier. it's becoming much more clear why you "just don't see it with Ace". none of us would "see it" if we didn't watch the games.

lol. adorable. what part of that is wrong? the shooting percentages? the rebounds? assists? turnovers?

yup. 9 ppg on 40/22 shooting. and he played three years in college so he was 21 at the time. brandon miller: 15 and 7, but on 38/31 shooting splits. so many examples of really good players who struggled big time as rookies in summer league.

    Following Potential 2025 Draftees

amen. you talk enough draft over enough years, you'll be wrong sufficiently often that it isn't hard to take your L's and move on.

    Elijah Harkless Hype Thread

harkless seems like the perfect dude to fit in that guard rotation with key, collier and clayton.

    How bad/good is Cody Williams?

exactly how i feel about williams. nothing i'd love to be wrong on more - it would be crazy to have him and ace, two dudes with 7'1"+ wingspans at the wing both be really good.

    How bad/good is Cody Williams?

that's as a second year player. and even in his good summer league game i think he had 0 rebounds. either way, i agree - he's shown certain things that sorta give you a glimmer of hope of if you you're looking for it, but i'd like to see him step it up a bit in vegas.

serious enough that it's keeping him out. the jazz want him out there and he wants to be out there.

Collier with about 10 potential assists - finding open dudes all over the court resulting in bricks.

Based on how Clayton is playing so far in SL, Key has nothing to worry about.

Clayton continues to struggle to get his shot against NBA length. They’ll go down if he can get them off.

and his rookie season 20 ppg on 43/28 shooting splits, 51% TS, 4 rebs, 2 assists, 3 TOs per game. As great as KD is, it took him a second to get going. he took a monster leap during his second season however. that's where he pulled away from the pack and started to become who he is.

yeah, he's a ball mover. absolutely was ball mover this past season. did he have his moments where he dribbled the air out of the ball? absolutely. but generally, he was a ball mover his rookie season.

    Jazz summer league MVP?

even in summer league, wcj is finding it much more difficult to get shots off than it was in college. guys are so much taller, longer, quicker. hopefully, it will just be a period of adjustment to the speed and length of the game, and he'll be okay.
