Cody making the game close, somehow

I'm a little surprised the Jazz coaches have chosen to go so small throughout the summer league. Quite often three small(ish) guards on the court. No PFs, unless you count Cody, Ace, or Brice (and now two of them are gone). Jazz haven't been able to bother Charlotte's offense at all so far...

Haha. (But orange chicken is really more of an American dish than a Chinese one.)

JZ Zaher no longer on the Jazz's roster for Vegas. Oh, and neither is Brice.

First year for fans, and maybe for the team itself, it's all about what the guy can do. Second year (esp. if the guy got a starting job in year one), it's all about what he can't do. Came for Keyonte, now it's coming for Collier, likely to come for Filipowski. Brice may have been saved from this...

With all due respect, one of Houston's starters hasn't even gotten off of the bench for the Jazz yet this summer league (though I'm not sure why -- still look forward to seeing Roberts play a bit). Another was LJ Cryer, who's even shorter than Clayton.

I worry a bit, until he proves me wrong, just because of his size. It's not clear that he'll be able to get his shots against NBA defenders.

I'll admit that I haven't watched yet and was only able to glance at the box score occasionally, but it's a little hard for me to see how Clayton gets so much love after finishing with starters' low +/- and a 5 for 14 shooting night (at one time, it was 2 for 11, wasn't it?). He finished with...

Someone needs to do a story on JZ Zaher. That one doesn't make too much sense either. (Saw him on the bench during yesterday's game.)

Man, too many people concerned about the wrong things with Ace. I was not an Ace "stan" going into the draft, but still think he has a relatively high ceiling and hope the Jazz can optimize his career. But whether or not he scored much in his first game is the least important thing to worry...

VJ clearly in better shape (and Sixers generally were in better shape than the Jazz). I don't have any problem with what I saw from Ace tonight, but he'll need to (and will) improve his stamina over time
