I think we have all see it this season. Bogie working to score and not working on boards or on defense. Without Bogie we have enough scoring options with Conley, Mitchell, Clarkson and when he gets back Gay. We need a better defender. So who can we trade bogie for?
The only one I see right...
Paschall's defensive effort has been many times better than I expected. His jumper is wonky and I don't expect it to go in. But the effort on the boards and cutting are legit things.
Since my vote is important to what the Jazz do. I would keep Oni over Parker. Oni has a chance to be a useful nba role player. Parker is the smaller Enes Kanter.
Watched 8 minutes of highlights from last season with Sacramento:
-His 3 has a strange windup and release
-He has some athletic ability to finish around the hoop with double clutches and dunks
-His right floater goes in on highlights
All in all how showed more talent than Morgan or Brantley...
I wonder about the end of the bench. I think the most likely scenario is we run it back with small changes and pay the luxury tax for one year.
So
Starters
Conley
Mitchell
O'Neal
Bogey
Gobert
Bench
Clarkson
Ingles
Favors
So that is our top 8.
Also under contract
Oni (partially...
I disagree with Wes. I think Frank Ntilikina would be a excellent player for us at the minimum. His defensive abilities would be a boon. Offensively I think he can reach Royce O'Neal levels of effectiveness. And if it doesn't work out you haven't lost much.
I think this would make our team so much better defensively and on boards. In the playoffs, Donovan and Mike and Joe are going to do the ball handling. And Gordon as a second shotblocker would be awesome.
I expect to see us win this one going away. Conley should be able to match Paul. Mitchell should match Booker. Gobert will house Ayton. Our bench should outmatch their bench. This is a good matchup for us.
