Mitchell is a great passer. You surround him with more shooters and have PG defending him rather than taller SG, that will be good for him. He's also in his second year and never played PG before. He has a lot of upside there, more than he does as SG imo.
OK, so how were Mitchell's numbers with the rest of the starters but no Rubio? Most of those numbers are from playing with the second unit as the PG. Mitchell was definitely much better as the PG when Rubio was injured. His efficiency plummeted once Rubio returned
Why isn't Portland a good matchup? Because you look at the last 2 games where Jazz shot horribly, or Blazers had their best scoring game of the year? Why ignore the other 2 games where jazz blew them out? Jazz match up much better if they have Exum to help defend. I'll take jazz in a 7 game...
SA>Portland>Denver> LAL>OKC>Houston>GS.
Those are the teams I see Jazz facing in the playoffs ranked in order of preference. Jazz may have a better chance to beat Houston, but I hate the matchup and don't want to watch Harden. The others are likely to be 7-8 seed and lose in the first round...
The only think I need to know about Ricky I get from looking at DMs stats with and without Ricky. I like Ricky, and think he is pretty good, but DM is much better as PG and with being the primary ball handler.
His 9-22 yesterday doesn't look as bad when you consider he went 0-2 on shots to end the quarter that weren't really within the offense. Don't ke if he had others that were end of shot clock as well.
Can't go after a rfa unless it's in a sign and trade. Not that they can't, but they shouldn't, especially if it's likely they just get matched. That's Rozier and Brogdon mostly. Offer Harris and Middleton the max with an opportunity to be a larger part of the offense. If that doesn't work, go...
Favors and Korver is too obvious. He would be the best stretch 4 in the league with plus defense. Perfect front court mate with Rudy. Deadly on the pick and roll because he can step back and nail a 3, or drive in and dunk.
Korver/Exum combo would struggle to finish at the rim. Korver/Oneale...
I think the opposite. I think Favors is the one redo has
He is, problem is he has less value on the Jazz so I'm not sure if he has the value around the league that he should. I would hate to see him thrown into a trade merely as a contract without having any value
So Kyle Korver didn't move the needle for the Jazz? Did you miss the first of the season before the Korver trade? Mitchell can't do anything inside because the is no space. Yes, Jazz could use another creating playmaker, but to say that a 40 % 3 pt shooter that also plays good D doesn't move the...
