I have never been this happy for the Jazz to not make the playoffs in my life! That Deron Williams to New Jersey trade is looking simply astounding right now!
I'm really feeling that we are getting Derrick Williams at #3 overall. The Timberwolves have a need at center and I think that they will take Kanter after Cleveland takes Irving. I would then take Jimmer with the #12 pick. We then go with this depth chart next year:
PG: Devin Harris, Jimmer...
I don't know about that. If Cleveland take Irving (as expected), the Timberwolves would be left with Williams. I don't know if they would want to take him, beings that they already have Michael Beasley and Wesley Johnson at Small Forward and Kevin Love at PF. I could see them taking Enes Kanter...
I think that's right. If you don't get a top 3 pick in the lottery, it reverts back to the original order of finish. In the Jazz case, it would be sixth.
Also, the Deseret News is reporting that we actually have an 8.2% chance (7.5% + .7%) of winning the lottery overall, which gives us the fifth best chance. Is this true?
This is our year! One of my Utah teams (the University of Utah Football Team and others) has already won the lottery this year (Pac-12 TV deal). It's time for my other Utah team (the Jazz) to do the same!
No freaking clue. From what I saw in the NCAA Tournament, he has some serious potential. The kid was flat out amazing.

Good luck with that one. You can't go to the temple without a temple recommend from your bishop. It probably would take more than a day to do. And yes I know that you are joking. I am too! :):):)
Here's a question: if the Jazz were to land Derrick Williams and Jimmer, do you think that they would consider re-instituting the Rocky Mountain Review? We would likely have the best summer league team in Jazz history (PG: Fredette, SG: Gordon Hayward, SF/PF: Derrick Williams/Jeremy Evans, C...
I would think that it would come pretty fast. We would essentially be the OKC Thunder with better players at the PF, C, and SG positions. Our bench would also be outstanding (Devin Harris, C.J. Miles, Jeremy Evans, Paul Millsap, Fesenko/Okur).
The Draft Lottery is not at half time of the Bulls-Heat game. The Bulls and Heat don't play again until Wednesday because Oprah has the United Center in Chicago on Monday and Tuesday night. I think that the lottery is being held before Game 1 of the Mavericks-Thunder WCF series that starts on...
That was one game. Fredette scored 33 points on 11-22 shooting against an elite 8 Arizona team that had Derrick Williams on it. The Cougars won that game by 22 points, by the way. He also scored 43 points and 25 points against SDSU in the teams' two regular season matchups. SDSU went to the...
Let's not forget, folks: without Boozer on the Bulls, we have no Al Jefferson. Carlos didn't sign with the Bulls outright. He was signed-and-traded by US to Chicago for their big trade exception. Said big trade exception landed us Al Jefferson from Minnesota. Boozer didn't HAVE to do this. He...
I know that I left out the other two positions (PG and C). I acknowledge that Russell Westbrook is an excellent player. However, I think that the Jazz have a better starting center than the Thunder (Al Jefferson vs. Kendrick Perkins). Also, it's not like Devin Harris is terrible or something. He...
Morris Almond also wasn't the National Player of the Year, either. Look historically at players that have won this award. They pretty much all have become good to great NBA players. My analysis of Fredette would be a hybrid-combo of J.J. Redick mixed with Stephen Curry. The thing that excites me...
