Jackpotting Around - It's Just One Game... But...

I'm going to regret piling on like this, but I had some time to look up the stats, and I think you are underscoring his degree of difficulty. My guess is he had some of the easiest shots for a volume 3pt shooter due to nobody caring about the Jazz last year. Here are the numbers: - 25th in...

Who will be our opening night starting lineup?

Another interesting question is who is out of the main rotation on opening night. Assuming Nurk and Anderson are in the rotation, I think that means at least 2 rookie contract players will be out of the rotation. If Flip and Collier are injured I guess that's easy, but I thought they should...

Jackpotting Around - It's Just One Game... But...

I guess I need to listen to Simmons more because I'm not familiar with the reference. If the argument is that Brice will be a top 20 shooter by the end of the year that puts him in to the conversation for higher, then that's not as crazy

Jackpotting Around - It's Just One Game... But...

Brice as a top 6 shooter in the NBA is insane and sounds like a crazy homer. Go tell that to any non Jazz fan and they are going to either laugh at you or say, "Brice Who?" It's not a knock on Brice either, there are just so many great shooters in the NBA right now. And, yes, best shooter...

Who will be our opening night starting lineup?

I would go Keyonte, Anderson, Ace, Lauri, Kessler. Then we would have a second unit of WCJ, Brice, Hendricks, Flip, Nurk. Collier and Cody to the Gleague. Svi and Love on the deep bench. Niang gets minutes for whoever is injured at the time. I would keep Harkless up as the 11th guy to...

Who will be our opening night starting lineup?

I think I've settled on the idea that Anderson should start. I think he is a great connective piece, won't take up shots, and can actually defend. There are definitely spacing concerns with Anderson, but I think I prefer bad spacing over bad ball movement.

    Walter Clayton Jr. Hype Thread

My guess is the Jazz didn't want to draft another 19 year old and so they zeroed in on WCJ.

The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

    - Harper looked really good to me - Carter Bryant can't do much on offense right now. - Didn't see Maluach - Jase can't miss - Yang mostly looks ok, but then has flashes of special.

Jackpotting Around - It's Just One Game... But...

    - Brice is a top 6 shooter when he averaged 1.4 pull up 3s per game last year? - Giving up on Cody when we have no reason to? I get that this is an overreaction pod, but these were over the top even for an overreaction pod.

The Jazz Must Select Hansen Yang at 21

I'm afraid Ace has benefited the most from Nukic's playmaking.

Agreed completely about Ace. His shot diet over these last two games has been perfect.

I thought Harper looked really good. A Lauri for Harper trade just makes too much sense for both sides. Specifically for SAS Wemby is ready to compete and they already have Fox locked up.

It's really difficult to evaluate what's going on when Wemby is playing. He's just effects the game so uniquely. Then for the majority of the second half we were playing against non rotation players, so again difficult to evaluate what's going on.

The 2025 draft class is looking like a great class.

Agreed, but still amazing. One of the aspects that is incredible with this shot is that the ball had to avoid hitting the shot clock or back board or anything or it would have been out of bounds.

At this point it's only who we are going to prioritize from a development standpoint, i.e. who plays and who doesn't. We should only have one rookie coming in next year, we will have plenty of roster spots. If there was some diminishing returns for trading him, then maybe that makes sense, but...

Sure, but neither really make sense. We should have plenty of cap space to do whatever are realistically going to do next off season with Cody and with an extended Kessler.
