It's hard to make a fair judgement here when we don't know what either side was asking for. I did expect us to get something done, but I can also see where both sides would want to wait.
I do agree that there is risk for the Jazz with more teams having cap space next summer, although I do...
To ground myself on NBL stats here are a few NBA players that played in the NBL:
Josh Giddey 2021 Adelaide: 32mpg/10.9pts/6.2reb/7.5ast/1.6stocks 43/29/69 shooting splits
LaMelo Ball 2020 Hawks: 31.3mpg/17pts/7.6reb/6.8ast/1.7stocks 38/25/72 shooting splits

It looks like the NBL regular season started last week. The game in this highlight looks like the worst of the two games Karim has played. He had 14pts/6reb in the game after this one...
Wow, if true this sucks. Is SLC really that much worse of a market than other small markets? Or is Ace and his representation really that against SLC? Or are you just basing this off of our recent history with Hayward, Deron, and Donovan?
Hendricks has a chance to make a lot of lineups work if he can really space the floor and be a guy that can cover up for others on defense. I just don't think it's fair to expect anything from him to start the year.
It's mostly difficult for me to put together lineups that can work because we only have two players that I have any confidence in defending guards on the perimeter (Harkless and Anderson), and I don't think either player gets close to starter minutes this year.
I don't have Clayton Jr as a lock. I need to see more.
I also don't think Ace is a lock, but it would be disappointing if he isn't starting by some point this year.
I do think Flip might be the most ready of our rookie contract guys to play meaningful NBA minutes, but I'm not sure you can play him and Lauri together defensively? I wonder if Lauri is at the point where he is only really capable of defending 4's and I don't think Flip can guard anyone right now.
If I was Hardy and trying to win games I might go with:
- Keyonte (assuming/hoping he takes a 3rd year jump)
- Harkless
- Anderson
- Lauri
- Kessler
...
...
Actually that lineup isn't great. I'm not sure it's possible to create a well rounded defensive/offensive lineup with our team. I...
I think most of agree that Lauri and Kessler will be in the starting lineup, pick 3 more.
The poll question only allows 10 possible responses, so if you have someone else, put them in the comments.
If Hardy is trying to win games he might also limit Ace's role/minutes.
I do agree though that Hardy knows where we are at as a franchise and while he might not have a strict mandate to give anyone minutes, he'll still likely be giving lots of development minutes.
Yes, good point. It's both guards.
Something to consider is that Hardy has theoretically been given the green light to go win games. Will that affect his rotations this year?
I watched the Utah game today. Pretty disappointing that they are just an average team this year, but I kind of had a feeling.
That Freshman QB from Texas Tech was super impressive. From his opening play where he avoided the blitz and got about 5 yards, he just looked completely cool and in...
I have it in my head that the only firsts they could have traded was 25 and 27 or 26 and 28. I think maybe they could have traded more if they removed protections, but it was never clear what they were actually offering.
If an unprotected post Steph pick was really on the table then yeah, we...
