Yeah, this feels like everybody but Austin was out of office for the weekend or something. Unbelievable.
Sexton probably was about to publicly request a trade because we’ve been ****ing with his money.
this would actually make any sense. In which case, maybe Shams should do any proofing at all.
Edit: their citation is to Sham’s tweet which still says it’s the Jazz sending a pick. And it looks like Larsen confirmed this earlier.
So far, it is not looking like we are building the roster to win right now so I guess I’ll celebrate that. I simply cannot wrap my head around sending a pick to pay more money for a worse player, though.
Wow, I hate this so ****ing much. If we’re prepping for a Kessler trade, then just use Walker’s spot as an open slot for auditioning Oscar and (other) G-League guys.
I literally cannot believe this. Refreshing for addendums/edits.
The only reason to do this is to ethically tank and even still, yeesh. Preeetty sure Nurkic makes more money, too.
One of the reasons I think his paint/rim numbers can improve is how quick he is on and off his feet. I think he’s been settling a bit and operating off of some antiquated assumptions that don’t consider math almost at all.
Doesn’t he just have perpetual team options on a minimum contract? If so, I’m pretty sure they could just choose to waive him as needed but that the team is locked into the (rather small) cap hit for the current season.
Juzang is a good, cheap player. You don’t often find much better when...
You make some fine points but it’s not going to be a 1st… though maybe they’d do a lottery-protected, but those become a nightmare for the sending team regarding their ability to trade other 1sts. I need to take a look at what they have available, maybe they have another team’s 1st that is...
They saved a lot more money in the Jrue and Porzingis deals and didn’t give up a 1st. They also got under the 2nd apron already (still in the LT, though).
