Boise's best unit is their defense in my mind, especially at home. They held Fresno and Hawaii, two pretty good offenses, to a combined 7 points. They can make a very good offense look completely inept.

Boise rolls in this one by 20+. I never, ever doubt Boise in any game anymore, except when they play Nevada (who's always given Boise a hard time). They're too well coached to have a slip-up.

Not all schedules are made equal. Schedules for some teams are significantly harder (or easier), even over the course of a season. Hollinger could rate a team with 10 wins less than another team at the end of the season higher simply because their schedule was harder. He clearly overvalues it in...

I know that. That doesn't make the ranking system any less flawed. A 2-6 team is rated higher than a 7-3 team just because their schedule is harder. Why don't we just let the teams with the hardest schedules at the end of the season make the playoffs?

Rockets are 1 spot ahead of the Jazz at a record of 2-6 (as of Nov. 14th). If that doesn't show how fatally flawed those rankings are, I don't know what does. At some point, common sense has to take over. But, that's Hollinger for you.

I should have referenced "in their rookie year". Obviously you don't want them on your bench their entire career, which would be because they don't develop at all.
