    Sloan is a great motivator.

Those are actually Big Al's numbers. And I was trying to show how he plays better the less rest he gets and that could be a factor of why the Jazz actually win back to backs this season and suck so bad when they have more than 1 rest day. The drop off was actually greater at the start of the...

Can the Matt Harpring experiment please end?

One thing I find pretty funny about Harpring is when everytime a guy dribbles he is "showing us his point guard skills". That applies to everyone from Hayward to Big Fes.

    Sloan is a great motivator.

+1 So do you think the Jazz management sort of overlooked all this potential shortcomings and how much of a disruption he would be to the Jazz offense? Perhaps they just looked at his stats and found that they were similar to Boozer's. Haha. But there's something very different about this...

jazz has advantage in 3 out of positions against Lakers

Interesting comparison. But it only shows PPG. Doesn't take into account other stats such as rebounds, assists, TO and more importantly, defensive ability. So you can't really say that we have 3 out of 5 positions. I'd say Lakers are better in every position on the defensive end, except maybe...

sekou smith of nba.com thinks a rip hamilton trade is in order for the jazz

Jazz have not been playing well of late but the good this is that so have most of their immediate rivals. Thunder, Lakers, Mavericks, Nuggets have all failed to impress in recent games, as have the Jazz. It's still too early to hit the panic button and make a trade, especially for someone like...

    Lakers @ Suns?!

I don't know if any of you watched last night's Lakers v Suns game at Phoenix, but it was really weird. The crowd seemed to be rooting for the Lakers instead of the Suns. Groaned everytime the Suns scored and Cheered on every Laker point scored. Are there a lot of Laker fans in Phoenix or something?

Al Jefferson slows down Jazz offense

Yeah I guess that does explain why everyone suddenly seems to just stand around and watch Big Al go to work on the low post. But like what memo is money mentioned, other teams which have low post focal offense such as Magic with Howard, Lakers with Gasol and formerly Shaq, Spurs with Duncan the...

    Pistons vs Jazz - 01/03/2011

I think Hayward played less tonight as Sloan thought AK would be a better defender on Prince as Raja would be on T-Mac. And AK did play well and did a nice job on Prince.

Al Jefferson slows down Jazz offense

Don't mean to Jefferson-bash here but just an observation. I have watched almost every game this season and it seems that everytime Big Al gets the ball down low, the Jazz offense just grinds to a halt. He slows the game down so much, as the other players just seem to wait for him to do his post...

Official Game Thread--1/1/11: Utah vs. Memphis 7pm MT...FSR-UT/KFNZ

Hi all! I'm new here. Just thought I'd share some of my thoughts on the game. Overall, the Jazz didn't play too well. But they did just enough to ward off the Grizzlies. I have to say the bench really saved the Jazz again this time. FT shooting was terrible (63%) not what you'd expect from the...
