    How are we not bad?

You were probably being sarcastic, but I was waiting for someone to mention Corbin. As much as his starting lineup blows, he must have some coaching skills that fans are hesitant to recognize. I can't think of many. :) Supposedly he's doing a beautiful job managing potential player tension...

    How are we not bad?

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying we're good. I check the internet a couple times a day in the hopes that we'll make a trade. It's just weird that we don't suck. The team this year, the whole situation, it's just weird.

    How are we not bad?

I can't figure out how we're not worse than we are. Nobody values our veterans, not even the fans. Our young guys can't even get invited to the rising stars challenge or make ESPN's top 25 players under 25. Coach is clueless. Offense is stagnant. Defense is below average. Injuries to Williams...

    #53--OKC @UTJ 9:00 PM ET, February 12, 2013 ESA, SLC

He only had one TO and used no possessions on FTs (the only two he took were for the flagrant). 23 points on 21 possessions is efficient.

I liked that Big Al, who gets criticized for his FG% more than anyone, still heaved a shot from full court at the end of a quarter. I think we would like him a lot more if we didn't see him as standing in the way of two #3 picks.

List of coaches Corbin is better than.

Fans do need to stop criticizing the look on his face. That's just how he looks. But stuff like this is stupid. Sometimes the media really misunderstands fans. As a whole I believe people in large groups will react in similar ways to situations. Right now fans are pissed because he has all our...

    Memphis

I know. The situation is just as unfair to Jefferson and Millsap as it is for Favors and Kanter. I really thought it would have been sorted out by now.

    Free enes kanter !!!

Anyone else notice that Kanter has been throwing some great passes lately? Even in the Houston game he passed it quickly out of the double team a few times. Not sure if they ended up being assists, but it's cool that even as his playing time has dropped he's becoming more daring and willing in...

    Locke on Favors

Fans keep saying, "We want to watch the young guys play." Locke keeps saying, "Fans SHOULD want to see the veterans play." For a scientist/analyst of his high calibre, he should realize by now that this is not an argument he can win. Fans want what they want. In fact, we're the experts on what...

    Locke on Favors

Locke or not, these guys are working hard to uphold the same narrative. Maybe Al and Paul are slightly better by the numbers, but at this point it's an emotional argument. So what if we'll win a few more games doing it this way. This way isn't very fun.

    Locke on Favors

Ty has started taking away Kanter's minutes and giving them to Favors/Jefferson/Millsap. He's so determined to develop the youth that he makes sure Kanter gets 5 minutes in the first half.

    Locke on Favors

Locke can't be as thrilled as he pretends to be. Can you imagine how much more fun his job would be if he was allowed to hype up the young players?

    Locke on Favors

His articles, his podcasts, everything he does these days is to educate us dumb fans as to why our favorite players are all on the bench. Sometimes it comes across as condescending, like when he's ripping apart trade ideas or complaining about all the negativity. Other times it's straight up...

    Following potential 2013 draftees

Ben Gordon wishes he had that handle, but I guess I can see the comparison. I would be happy with any of the four PGs in this draft. It reminds me of the Ty Lawson, Jrue Holiday, Eric Maynor year. Kind of unfortunate for them that every team in the NBA already has a PG. Good for the Jazz though.

    Denouncing God

Thanks, nerd, for explaining team PPP. Makes sense. I wish there was a stat for pts/(possession-ending fga +.44fta + to). Field goal attempts that become an offensive rebound or get blocked out of bounds shouldn't count.

    Denouncing God

I'll try. PPS makes free throws way more important than they actually are. Someone who makes a field goal is just as efficient as someone who gets fouled and makes both free throws, but, when using PPS, it looks like they earned those points without even taking a shot. It's still impressive when...

Yeah point per shot sucks. Free throws and TOs use possessions as well. I don't want to trade Hayward though.
