    Following Potential 2026 Draftees

It is wild to me that people still assume we are deciding between getting the 1st or 7th pick, not the 7th pick or no pick. The Jazz have to start pulling some kind of ****.

Reevaluated? He has an injury that you can either repair and take a year off or cut out and be back on the court a few weeks later but NEVER GET THAT MENISCUS BACK. Sorry, I just hate that meniscus injuries are so down-played.

Especially since they could’ve just kept Halliburton who is better.

    The Lauri Thread

We can either: -pull shenanigans to throw games and keep the pick -trade Lauri to be organically bad and keep the pick -forfeit the pick and lose in the play in. I know which one of those I hate the most by a light year.

Jackpotting Around Podcast: Episode 49 - Walker Kessler Injury Fallout and Listener Mailbag

Those teams never had a chance to seriously contend because they couldn’t protect the rim at all, so I guess I’m right there with you. With how spread the game is now, it means that your center being a great defensive player is all the more important because 4s can’t help as much on that end as...

    The Lauri Thread

It just isn’t a musculoskeletal thing which is typically where the concern lies with giants and it is not a product of participating in athletics. It just isn’t in the same category.

    The Lauri Thread

He’s already done more than Oden. And he hasn’t had any major injuries yet.

    Too good to tank?

Absolutely not. Half of the Jazz’s wins are very close wins (a nightmarish outcome so far and if it continues, which suggests this team is seriously not good but will still receive a worse draft slot than the best team in the league).

If the Jazz don’t get their **** together, this thread will be the most epic waste time in the history of Jazzfanz.

Tanking is when you intentionally lose. The Pelicans are not tanking and neither are the Clippers. But yes, there are an inordinate amount of low-quality teams and the Jazz need to get their **** together.

    Mike James in town

Pretty sure Best Buy might pre-date when I started posting in ‘07 (what the ****?).

Hmm? RJ Barrett was billed as a point guard. AJ is not.

I don’t see the comp at all. I thought you maybe meant Richard Jefferson after beginning to assume you could not have meant RJ Barrett. You think AJ is not substantially bigger and athletic?

Hell yeah, right on track to cough up the 9th pick in the draft. Presti never misses.

This is not a point of reference for Cody Williams. NAW actually looked like an NBA player from the jump and got worse with time which is why the Jazz could trade basically nothing to acquire him. Cody Williams has just been comically bad period. Fetch might happen eventually but you’re still...

In no scenario should Lauri be playing back-to-backs, but especially if they’re riding him this hard.

When Should the Jazz Stop Tanking?

The way the Jazz should’ve played it out with mostly foresight but a little hindsight: *‘22-‘23 they should’ve gutted the team by the start of the regular season and taken whatever swaps and 2nds they could get from the Lakers for Bogey, Beasley, Vando, Pat, and/or Clarkson (maybe even Snyder?)...
