the good thing about conley on the jazz is that he'd have less pressure playing with much better depth on utah compared to memphis. his minutes could be better managed i think even though he's only playing 34 per game currently.

i don't know why people would be worried about losing exum. what has he proven since being drafted? he's overpaid (even though I know his contract has alot of stipulations to get to the 11 mil/yr), oft injured, can't shoot. if you get conley, then donovan can play backup PG as well as neto...

go watch a a couple games from early in the season and watch his last 5-7 games played. defense is clearly far ahead of where he was.

i suspect this is what most people are doing (and that goes for all rookies, not just allen) rather than using their eyes.

this would be a valid assessment if his defense was as bad as it was early in the season, but it's clearly miles better from where he started to the point where he's not a regular pylon as you described it. 3-7 min here and there mixed in w/ DNPs is no good for his development or confidence...

This is actually very reasonable and I think all teams win in this scenario. Udoh as a primary backup C scares me, but the team overall gets better offensively so he could focus exclusively on defense.

allen would be playing 15-20 min a game on alot of teams who were drafting in his range (even more on tanking/crappier teams). jazz are competing for a higher playoff seed and just haven't been able to afford him the time/leash to get regular/comfortable minutes which is understandable to some...

In regards to 3 pt shooting, I though for sure he would’ve put Grayson in at some point to try and spark something. Joe and Kyle were remarkably off and that could’ve been a good opportunity for a bench guy to try and step up.
