Can’t spin this, you’re wrong. Defensive issues or not, playing 2-3 min and then getting yanked before getting another 2-4 minutes of garbage time sprinkled in with multiple DNPs is not being given a ton of time or opportunity to do anything.
the bolded is just patently false and pure fiction, WTF are you talking about? go look at his game log. the most minutes he played were even based on circumstance - he played 27 min against memphis on 11/2 b/c donovan was out, then played 21 min against dallas on 11/14 b/c the whole team...
huerter and shamet have gotten so much opportunity to play and learn; quin hasn't been near as flexible with grayson as lloyd pierce and brett brown have been with those 2 guys. even divincenzo has had alot of chances too even though he's played like crap most of the season. impossible to make...
yep, didn't realize that the person was referencing larsen's tweet from yesterday about him practicing with the stars. though something new had come out today.
nah, he just needs regular minutes to get adjusted/into a rhythm. too much wing depth on a team fighting for playoffs for quin to have any patience for him. same thing is happening to divincenzo lately in milwaukee.
how long is grayson gonna be out with this sprain? he's looked really good in g-league but hasn't had near the same opportunities to play on the nba level.
And this is a big problem offensively with this team. Most guys are only willing to shoot when completely wide open and it has entirely disrupted the flow. There’s only a few on the team currently who are regularly willing to take or create challenged shots when the offense is under pressure...
allen barely tries or gets touches on that team (naz, cousins, and lewis have terrible vision and are score first; lyles not as much) but he is clearly their best guard when he gets sent down. that says alot about how far behind the other guards are.
good post, but alot of it basically outlines why rubio is a poor fit. and alot of it also shows why allen should be getting more minutes when the offense stagnates. someone who will not pass up shots and can create offense other than mitchell (albeit less creatively/shifty than mitchell).
imagine if people actually guarded him, his %'s would be even more abysmal. can't win anything of value with him as your starting PG, it's as simple as that.
rubio just can't be trusted longterm. The amount of equity and leash he's had in his career is ridiculous. people will point to his occasional good to great shooting games, but it is all fool's gold. he's left wide open 75+% of the time, so he's bound to have a great shooting game every now...
