Watched the Kansas game last night. Darryn Peterson was superb again. 20 points in the first half, didn't play much in the second, finished with 26 points on 11-of-13 shooting. View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8_QUEBa0oY View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlcIQ7fGDgk

I had to laugh when I read that. Yeah, they're definitely going to try to sit Trae as much as possible. I'm sure that was a factor in their decision to get him. But they may have to play him later to avoid penalties. This year is interesting because the upcoming draft is so loaded, and the teams...

I hope Sexton has a great game tonight. We need him to help us pull our tank out of the mud.

I've been following this kid as well. As you said, his shot is a thing of beauty, 100% effortless.

Yeah, we’ll see how they handle it. But one thing is certain. They want to keep that pick and think they can do it with Trae on the team. What I’m hoping is that he will play enough so we can beat them in the tank race.

This Trae Young trade is pretty interesting. Atlanta needed to move him and his salary. It didn't work out for them anymore, and there was mounting pressure to trade him. Now they have the cash to try to trade for AD, or to get another player or players who fit their system. Washington, on the...

The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

The Nets have been pretty interesting. They’re designed to tank this season. Their owner, Joe Tsai, even admitted in an interview before the season started that their focus is on landing as high a pick as possible in the 2026 draft. But just like with the Jazz, their tank hasn’t gone quite as...

Watching this game as well. Yeah, Tre is looking good. And the Nets are missing their best player again.

What should the FO do if we are 0.500 by January?

You’re right. OKC will be (and likely already is, as you said) all over this, asking the league to put a microscope on our injury reports. They didn’t do it last year because we weren’t in danger of losing the pick. Last year, it was probably the Wizards who triggered the $100,000 Lauri penalty.

You said the same about Cooper Flagg last year.

The Jazz’s situation is pretty fascinating. As Zach Lowe says in this video, “The juiciest dilemma in the entire league – the Jazz.”

    The Lauri Thread

I just noticed that the All-Star voting period started yesterday. Lauri, because of his unique playing style, is one of my favorite players to watch in the NBA, along with Nikola Jokić and Steph Curry. I hope he gets selected. He’d deserve it. Our hard tanking pretty much ruined his last season...

I’m pretty sure Austin Ainge's main goal this season is to get one of the top prospects from next year’s draft, but Ryan has somewhat tied his hands. Austin knows that this draft is special. With four (possibly more) #1 prospects in it, the opportunity for a tanking team to land a future star...
