The Boston/Knicks series is basically determined by 3pt variance.

Cam Boozer is looking like the next Paolo. He's starting to show more game off the dribble. Get a wing scorer this year and Boozer next year, and we're in business. View: https://x.com/JonScheyerMuse/status/1920572746775278029

I think the Jazz will go with Flagg, Harper, Bailey, Johnson and Edgecombe. I don't think Fears really enters the conversation. If everything goes right for him, then he'll cook, but it's a lot to bet on with a top-5 pick. If the Jazz really, really loved Fears, then maybe they'd trade back...

If you slap yourself in the face and squint, you might be able to convince yourself that Jeremiah Fears is roughly comparable to Jamal Murray entering the draft. The shooting efficiency isn't there for Fears, but the shot generation off the dribble is similar and their athleticism is fairly...

I think Tre shows signs of being elite. Obviously, he'll need to work hard, but he has a reputation for doing that as well.

I think Tre is versatile. Teams can play him like Klay Thompson, Devin Booker, Ray Allen, etc. It’s a very successful archetype.

If I had to predict how the draft plays out, I think it’ll go: 1- Flagg 2- Harper 3-5: Ace, VJ, Tre in some order 6-9: Fears, Queen, Maluach, Kon in some order If someone else is going to break into that last group (6-10), it’s probably Essengue. Then I think it’s Kas, CMB… and the draft goes...

He's come a long, long way from Hoop Summit a year ago where Ulrich Chomche looked like a more viable prospect. If he's big, physical and dunks a lot that's fine. It's really just his defensive reactions and engagement that need to improve.

FT% generally seems to be the biggest indicator for shooting ability. The 3FG% can overlook a lot of context, like open vs. guarded, off-the-bounce vs. off-the-catch, etc. With Cody specifically, the data samples were small, leading to higher potential for variance in outcome. I don't think the...

Basically, Joe Ingles and Chris Mullin are guys who have barely been able to dunk but almost never do unless they're completely alone. Maybe late-career guys like David West or Boris Diaw would pass up dunks.

PG was also a 20 yo soph entering the draft. With someone who is still 18, you’re looking for a guy you can mold. Almost no 18-yo dude is playing NBA-level defense.

This may seem a bit simplistic, but I think Flagg is your franchise guy. Harper is your Cade Cunningham lead initiator. Ace and Tre are your Option 1B off-ball, secondary scorers and shotmakers. (Note: Even KD needed to play off a strong lead guard). And VJ is your 3rd guy (e.g., Oladipo, JR...

VJ is much more downhill that DDV. His play style reminds me of Sexton. People have also mentioned Oladipo.

Paul George at the 2010 Combine: 6'7.75" w/o shoes, 6'11.5" wingspan, 8'11" standing reach. Ace may come in slightly taller than PG, which would likely put him over 6'9" w/ shoes. He's also still 18 y.o., so there's potential to grow a bit.
