Agreed they will likely not move Booker at this point. But if they were interested I would absolutely pull the trigger. If not, what on earth are we waiting for?
It is why you either tank for real at the beginning of the season or hang on to players that are not to pricey but complimentary role players on a good team. We waffled on tanking two years in a row and then traded Tech and KO who are both solid role players who dont cost too much.
Ainge is a pure opprtunist and everything he has done has been consistent with that logic. I do think he blows smoke but the big game hunting thing was one of things that I think is legit and fits with his opportunistic approach.
Locke has plenty of cred for anyone who listens to his content and analysis. My guess is that he is now uber rich since lockedon podcast has gone crazy.
Dont think he would make any attempt to talk over these two guys. No reason.
That is the key question. I think he and Lauri would be great together and I would definitely pursue it if I were the Jazz. My guess is that the Pups will be looking for more than he is worth.
I am hoping Smith takes his passion for ugly uniforms and uses it on the hockey team and lets the Jazz go back to looking like an NBA team. Hopefully his success with building a winning franchise will be as great in the NHL as it has been in the NBA :D
It might work out but this is two years in a row of being gut punched - hard to stay motivated when you know you cant compete and the FO is fine with being really bad.
The way the FO has managed things I dont have any idea if Hardy is good or not. If he has an ounce of competitiveness he can't be happy with the hand he has been dealt.
You are right about the mistakes. It made zero sense to trade both Rudy and Donny - though one of them clearly had to go. Trading them both with a focus on draft picks instead of young talent made no sense. Trading them both and being caught in the middle 2 years in row made no sense. Blowing...
My guess is that he would have gotten the job and would have done very well. I agree he is fine but he has to wonder what if. Being in Boston over these last few years is a lot better than being in Utah.
