Not to kill the mood, but doesn't it seem like every year is "the best/deepest draft in years".

Last year's draft was said to suck before it happened.

One of the main reasons they bashed last years class was because of how it compared to this one..

I think Lauri Markannen might be the target if they were to move up into the Lottery.. 7' PF who's shooting nearly 50% from 3 on volume attempts and can really put the ball on the floor (Better, younger version of Frank Kaminsky).

He'd really add a nice scoring punch off the bench. Dead-eye shooter.

didn't want to let this thread die without putting my .02 into a possible target.

If Harry Giles drops I could see them trying to scoop him up too.. This is an interesting(not ideal) landing spot for him. They could make it happen in the timeframe to still extract great value from a then 26y/o Favors. Markannen isn;t redundant with Favors, more like Lyles, but they're in fact complimentary.

The injury bemoaners here would have a conniption if they moved up for Giles with his knees tho. It'd be hilarious.

2017 draft is a draft that has been rumored to be VERY deep and very good. Not every draft gets that. Last year's was supposed to be one of the worst in a decade. This is supposed to be one of the best in a decade. I do believe that DL will get a steal in this draft. He almost always does. Given that we have 2 picks in the first round and 4 in the second round... I expect plenty of draft and stash... Also, DL will field tons of calls between now and then.

If it were up to me, I would think long and hard about Alec Burks and his solid contract plus one of our first round picks (24ish) and one of our second round picks is a pretty good trade to move up in the 8 - 12 range.
