2nd round steals that could fit the jazz?

I would prefer Selden Jr. over Chris Johnson (I know Selden is more of a SG and Johnson plays some SF but Johnson needs to go).

People gonna disagree because Smart is already one of the better defenders in the NBA and has a much better body than GPII.

And Payton was a terrible 3pt shooter and in college and couldn't hit FT's. IDK why you expect him to be able to shoot in the NBA.
 
Look im a believer in Payton but Smart is a heck of a young player. Former lottery pick and plays like one, Payton is a second rounder. YOu are wrong here about him being better then Smart, Not wrong about him being able to play in the NBA. He has the defense and the IQ. COuld at worse case be another Patrick Bevelery

I watch a lot of MWC basketball sinc ei live in a MWC town, Fort Collins. Not a ram fan at all so no ill wil ltowards you my friend. WY fans are awesome BTW. They are classy and follow the team no matter what the record. I have watched Adams become a very good mid major college player. I do not see the NBA in his future. D LEague if he wants but he could make a lot more overseas. He is one who will make six figures overseas

I had a ton of fun watching him play for my Wyoming Cowboys, and he'd be an instant fan favorite.

In his two years in college Payton shot a better % from three than Smart did. Also, Payton's FG% was considerably higher than Smart's.

Payton as a Junior/Senior and Smart was a freshman/sophomore. They are pretty much the same caliber shooter coming out of college. Smart's FG% was much lower because he shot a lot more 3's. His 2pt FG% was nearly identical and he shot better from the foul line (far better).

I like him just for sentimental reasons. The Stockton-Payton matchups were epic and the mutual respect they had for each other was awesome. Of all the Jazz nemeses over the years, GPI was by far my favorite.
 
Jake Layman | F | Maryland (No. 53)
Layman is a guy that's been on draft boards for a while due to the package of skills he possesses. However, outside of a stretch late in his junior season, he never put everything together on the court for Maryland. This season, he was largely forced out of position for the Terps, and responded with a highly efficient, yet slightly disappointing season.
Instead of taking a step forward following an excellent finish to his junior season, Layman seemed to often step back into being the fourth option on Maryland, averaging 11.6 points and 5.3 rebounds while hitting nearly 40 percent of his 3s and throwing up a 64.0 true shooting percentage. On one hand, it showed teams the exact role that they'll hope to play him in. On the other, it was a bit weird to see a player as talented as Layman be comfortable stepping back as often as he did.
At the combine, he'll have a chance to prove his mettle again. I'd expect Layman to test exceedingly well athletically for his 6-9 size, which could help his stock. As long as he interviews well and doesn't play poorly in the scrimmages, Layman could win over some teams who might be on the fence about where his future lies in the NBA. His stock is truly anywhere from late first round to undrafted, and this week could really help.

Euros have until June 13 to decide on staying in the draft.


Does anyone know where to find a list of obscure Euros who have declared for the draft?

Last year there was buzz surrounding Alpha Kaba and George Lucas, but I haven't heard anything about them this year. Are they draft eligible?
