Al and Millsap

Remember a few weeks ago when everyone wanted Al off the team and Millsap on the bench? Well, not everyone, but quite a few. Al passed out of the post several times today, scored 30 points, and Millsap was unstoppable in the first half. Is this good or bad? While the Jazz are winning now, at the same time our draft pick seems to be disappearing. Also, it is preventing Favors and Kanter from taking over the team.

Hehe, just kidding, it just goes to show why Ty the turd is paid the big bucks. And what better way to teach the bigs how to really play basketball than for them to watch Al and Millsap dominate the post. Kanter and Favors are still getting enough time, and the Jazz may just make a strong playoff push, and Sloan often talked about how good playoff experience is.

My only problem with the Al and Milsap lineup is that Favors isn't getting enough minutes.
And my problem with Favors' minutes is that he's not getting them with Hayward.

Al and Millsap are for sure the ones who has to start in the current roster, but our concern is not starting or coming off the bench, they are not the two players to make this team contender as the main guys while Favors and Kanter are (at least potentially) . Millsap at least can come off the bench and can be a great weapon for some more years, but Big Al will be overpaid again by either us or some team and he wont accept such role.

Just some people wanna see Favors and Kanter get major mins right now and some when they complete their development. I would start Big Al and Favors and bring Millsap and Kanter off the bench giving slightly more mins to Millsap and Big Al than Favors, but i would immediately trade Big Al if i find a good piece in return. He wasn't the worst player in this league after the first game of the season, he isnt the best neither after scoring 30 to a messed up team. It is pretty obvious what he can and cant do. Not only him but noone can be a franchise player of a contender in this league with such a lazy and brainless defense.
