Rudy Gobert's first game as a Jazz man was the first game of the 2013-14 season at the ESA versus OKC. The Jazz starters for the night were Favors, Kanter, Haynerd, John Lucas and Richard Jefferson. Rudy entered the game for Enes Kanter with 5:53 left in the 1st quarter, about 2-minutes later he grabbed his first rebound (he now has 2,633 career rebounds and ranked 4th in the nba with 12.8 rpg last season)
In, the fourth quarter the Jazz were down 9 when Alec Burks passed to Rudy for a 2-pt shot from 2-feet out, his first NBA points. In all Rudy scored 2 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and missed two foul shots. The leading scorer for the Jazz was Alec Burks with 24-points on 16 fga. Playing for the Thunder was former Jazzman Dererk Fisher and Future Jazzman Thabo Sefolosha who scored 14 points. The Jazz lost the game. About a month later in OKC Rudy scored in double digits for the first time,
Rudy's first block came 3 nights later against houston's James Harden.
Rudys first game with double digit rebounds was Nov 5, 2013 with 11 rebounds in less than 16 minutes against Brooklyn.
Rudy's first win with the Jazz was the Jazz's 16th game and Rudy's 13th against Chicago on Nov 25, 2013.
Rudy's first double-double was Dec 20, 2014 against the Charlotte Hornets.
Rudy's first 20-pt game was April 21, 2015 against Denver, he was the leading scorer for the Jazz (favors had 19) and Rookie Dante Exum had 12-assists.
Rudy's first game with 7+ blocks came against Philadelphia to start the 2015-16 season. He has blocked 7 or more shots in just 2-games, the same number as Jazz legend Thurl Bailey and 71 fewer times than Jazz Legend Mark Eaton.
In 2016-17 Rudy was 1st in the NBA in True Shooting Percentage (.681), blocks per game (2.6), total blocks (214), and block percentage (6.4)
The first time I watched Rudy Gobert play live was Nov 18, 2013 when the Jazz hosted teh GSW. Enes got killed inside all night long, he was -33 on the night. Rudy was a rookie who had been playing about 10-15 minutes a night. Everytime he stepped on the floor he changed the game. I remember how feisty he was and how it irritated Andrew Bogut and a young hot-head for the GSW-Draymond Green. Rudy played just 5-minutes that night, but it was clear he had more potential than Enes and Favors which is another reason why Ty Corbin had to go.
