Any news on Raul Neto?

All I could find was this link. It looks like he is playing the 2 position and his numbers don't look great. But I don't know how to judge European players... can anyone that follows the Euroleagues give us an update?

I've heard that that league is pretty stingy of assists too, so anything around 4 or 5 is pretty good.

It should probably be another thread... but feel free to update on Ante Tomic too. When I look at pictures of him, he's not the same skinny guy the Jazz drafted. He's starting to look NBA ready to me.

He was pretty beast this season too. Plus he has played for Messina.

Whether it's Neto, a draft pick or FA - Jazz desperately need a quality backup PG.

His numbers are OK for a Euro PG, not very good but fine. Like Doublea said, assists are counted more strictly in euroball and the assists split up to the other players much more. Also Neto's team is a mediocre team in the best domestic league in Europe so he faces against very good players every game. Still it looks like he could improve but I can't say much since I don't follow his team.

I always say Tomic is a great big player for European basketball and he has finally been meeting the expectations from him. But in the NBA, I'm afraid he would just prove the myth of "Soft Euro Big" of the common American basketball fans. He has enough offensive talent for the NBA, rebounds well(only when he wants) but does not play up to his body and length. His defense is meh. And unlike Neto, he plays in one of the best teams in Europe so he gets the benefit of his teammates more.

I'd be still OK though, with the Jazz bringing him and trying it because he can be a good rotational player, but now we have Gobert and only so many minutes to distribute between our bigs, I think we better use him in a trade or something. Plus I still don't think he'd be willing for coming and playing a fourth or third big role in the NBA where he can be the main center in his team.
