a. Harris sucks. plain and simple.

b. Watson is good at about 20-22mpg.

c. Tinsley is a traffic cone on defense.

d. Hayward has, perhaps, the best playmaking/set-your-teammate-up skills on the young squad. The offense can successfully run thru him

e. Burks needs more time.

f. Play Burks at the 1spot, not in the hopes that he'll be a "PG", but that he'll defend the opposing PG to the best of his abilities and take his lumps when he gets them. This can happen for 7-10 minutes a game. He can get his other minutes at SG.

g. based on his recent performances, we should keep Raja, but he shouldn't start.

Raja is the best starter.

Burks should have Howard's minutes.

Hayward needs to be more aggressive on a consistent basis.

1. agree to disagree

2. we have no SFs.... it's hard for me to think that we need to play Hayward there MORE, so that we can play Burks at SG. I'm looking for a solution where we play Hay more at SG while still getting Burks more minutes.

3. of course.

If Burks took some of Howard's or Cj's minutes, he could get plenty more PT, all at SG.
You're PG proposal is intriguing though.

Also, it doesn't matter what position Hayward is technically listed at. It doesn't matter.

It sure as **** matters who he is guarding and who is guarding him. I don't care about categories/titles. Saying this issue is moot = stupid as ****.

It is moot. It's not like Hayward has a post-up game or ever takes advantage of size disparity anyway.

he HAS taken advantage of smaller players in the few minutes he has been matched up against them. he HAS been bullied by stronger opposing SFs (natural strength isn't his strong suit). he DOES have a hard time getting his own shot and benefits from a height advantage (so it's stupid to brush off this issue because of a lack of a post game).

Moot? hardly. But, I guess we should just throw him out there....

The biggest back court issue is Harris. I wish we could have done the Harris for Calderon swap. We'd make that 8th seed. As of now? We're sinking like a stone and we wont make the playoffs with Harris as our PG.

You figured it out

The Jazz want their own draft pick in this years draft, that is why Howard continues to get big minutes and Harris remains our starting point guard. Smart verrrrrrrrrry smart.

The problem has been Harris.

I don't know what the deal is, but he just has not lived up even to the expectations that include his limitations. I don't think Harris has shown any desire whatsoever to win in Utah. When the game is difficult he disappears. I hate bagging on my own players but that's where I'm at.

I agree with Cyrone on this one.
Raja is now the most consistent, and therefore, best starter.
Hayward's in at a close 2nd. But I think Hayward's game relies on who the other players are. Hayward excels when Favors is in the game.

Annnnd I agree that Burks needs more minutes, but not at the PG spot. I just don't think he's a PG. He's a playmaking, slashing 2 guard and the minutes need to go towards developing him where he should be. I am way excited about Burks. He goes left, right...shoots with the left or rights, explosive as hell, and gets to the rim with ease, likes to pass and can do some crazy ones now and then, and he's got a game where even if you scout him, he could still beat you.
