Beagles

Anyone here had/have one? What were your experiences? Thoughts? Tips?

I own a beagle mix who I guess has the beagle personality. They are generally very happy friendly dogs who are great with kids and all people. They are very driven by instincts for tracking down things by following scents. Due to that you cant really have them off a leash outside because they will be fine and then all of a sudden they will catch a trail and wont stop following it and you cant get their attention. Overall though they are some of the happiest friendly dogs you will find.
