Biggest Defensive Problem?

After watching the first 6 games we all know we have a problem defensively.

What is the biggest problem though?

Protecting the paint (Clogging the Lane)

Perimeter defense

Defensive Rebounding (Allowing 2nd chance points)

Defensive Chemistry (Don't make any changes. Just wait it out)

etc etc

What is biggest problem and what change to the lineup would be best to fix this?
Or should be just wait it out and see if the chemistry gets better?

I personally think that Benching Elson and playing Fesenko 20 minutes a game would improve our defense. I think clogging the lane is our biggest problem with Jefferson and Millsap. When you clog the lane it also makes the perimeter defense better also.

Jefferson (35 MPG)
Millsap (33 MPG)
Fesenko (20 MPG)
AK (MPG at the PF position but maybe Elson if we need more size)

I like Elson actually but he still does not clog the lane on defense. Fesenko is the only player we have that can do that. Its the only change we can make to our lineup without making a trade. And its the only change the makes sense to me.

Rebounding is a problem but Fesenko takes up a lot of space and is is very underrated at boxing his man out. He allows other players on our team to rebound when he blocks out the biggest guy on the opposing team.

...biggest defensive problem on our team? Only half the guys want to play it....and the other half don't know how!

I think its fairly obvious, we have a 6'10" center and 6'7" power forward guarding the lane. Yes they are both talented players, but having a true 7 footer like Fesenko who can push people around and take up space counts for more than any box score can show. Is Jefferosn/Millsap better than Okur/Boozer? Very, very sightly.

Agreed.

I really think Fesenko/Jefferson, and Okur/Millsap off the bench would suit things best eventually.
