Let's spare the "Houston, we have a problem" jokes.
That has already been made more than evident.
While free-throw-line distractions in basketball have seemingly begun to take on a culture of their own, the Houston Rockets may have exceeded anyone's wildest dreams (or more accurately, nightmares).
Early in the fourth quarter, the Utah Jazz's Rodney Hood took to the charity stripe hoping to shave the Rockets' eight-point lead.
Rather than simply facing a sea of clapping, red thunder sticks, a sight he is all but guaranteed to never see again confronted the 23-year-old.
Springing from a recycling bin situated courtside was a large, green-coated man, shouting and hopping in place while sporting an inverted popcorn bucket on top of his head.
Forget distracted. A wonky eco-friendly-meets-Oscar the Grouch display of that magnitude has now more than likely made Hood disturbed.
