- Divencenzo is a nice player, those are pretty great numbers.
- Honestly, after how Ochai started the year, I'm just glad that he looks like a clear NBA rotation player. Even though he's an older rookie, I think he still has a lot more upside that he hasn't showed yet. Specifically, I think he might have a little more play making that Hardy can get out of him.
- I don't think that he's earned automatic starter for next year, as has been reported. I hope that has been exaggerated.

I think him being penciled in as the starting SG is premature as in penciling in Sexton as the 6th man is premature as well.

Y’all have some dumb arguments sometimes. Agbaji is fine and on a cheap contract for years. I doubt he’s a star down the road, but he should be a serviceable rotation player for years to come. I’m not sure why so many of you guys seem to be in a hurry to move on from two rookies who just proved that they can contribute to the team now AND down the road.

Anyone else think Desmond Bane is the closest comparison to Ochai?

Virtually identical numbers in their rookie years and senior college years. Similar body shapes/size with Ochai having the advantage. What advantage Bane has a shooter, Ochai makes up for with better finishing at the rim and has better potential on the defensive end.

Fwiw, I dont really see any posters who are in a hurry to move on from ochai and kessler. In fact I see the opposite from most posters. Some people would even be unwilling to include kessler in a luka doncic trade for gods sake. Who is in a hurry to get rid of them?

Let’s compare his numbers since the trade deadline when he started getting regular minutes:

Per 36

16.5 PPG, 3.1 RPG, 2.6 APG

40/34/87 on 8.3 attempts from 3 per game

That is in his rookie year after a first half of the season where he wasn’t playing very much and didn’t play with a ton of playmaking.

Meanwhile you’re comparing him to players who have been in the NBA multiple years and four of whom play a lot of minutes for playoff teams.
Why was he getting regular minutes doe? Was it because we were trying really hard to win lots of games and he was our best option to accomplish all the winning? Also, those shooting percentages are no bueno.
