Bell got a sit down with KOC and Corbin during the season when his minutes were cut. What the hell more does he want - a Hallmark Card?

Communication problem is nothing but a euphenism for "I really don't respect this guy, and I don't agree with what he is saying or doing, so I'll just sit here and pout until someone comes to me and asks me what's the problem"

Corbin probably blew smoke up Bell's *** in the meeting and then embraced the silence between them as a sign that everything was cool. What he should have said is, "hey Bell, you have value to this team, but not in the capacity that you're currently in. I'm going to bring you in off the bench as a hustle guy/agitator. If you play well in that role I'll find more minutes for you. If you can't accept that role, we'll try to trade you. If we can't trade you, you can sit on the bench until you're ready to come to me for minutes.
 
And to think he could have been ****ing up the Lakers' chemistry for the past couple of years.

I love that part. People always yell about crap when they answer is something they do not like. I see it every day.

"You didn't answer my question." "That's not right..." Makes me laugh at them everytime.

Of course Bell didn't respect Ty. No one would respect a coach who gave Raja all those minutes, not even Bell. He should have been made to earn his spots.

Raja didn't respect Ty nor was the communication there.

CJ had the same issues.

I see this as the same situation when two people break up. They have the conversation and the relationship is over. One of them moves on and is fine with how things ended (Corbin). The other needs to keep bringing it back up every day hoping that the answer that they did not like has changed. (Bell, Miles).

Guys, Corbin dumped you. Get on your feet, dry your eyes and move on.

When its two players with the same issues, you have to look at the coach and ask if he is the problem, not the player. Ty gave unearned minutes to both Raja and CJ. Players don't respect a coach for that, and they both brought up communication issues. At some point it becomes a ground hog day with the coach, or guy who goes through multiple divorces.

At some point even the young guys question if their increased minutes are because they earned them or because Ty rewards players who have been around longer.

This cycle probably will.continue.

Possibly it is Corbin.

However you did have other players say there was no problem with communication such as Big Al.

I think they talked about it the very first time and Corbin made his decision then he never mentioned it again.

It can be argued that Ty gave Big Al undeserved minutes and undeserved touches . That's how a coach can win vets over - until they are put out to pasture as is the case for Raja and CJ.
 
Miles will never be an elite player. He has regressed, and will never put it all together. We gave him years to improve. He doesn't have it.
This was a contract year for him, and he sucked. I'm ready to move on.
 
I'll miss CJ. He should be better than he is, he may never be, and I'll be interested to see how he looks on a new team. I'm thrilled Bell will be gone and I can't wait to not see him anymore.
