Lone Peak is playing in a tournament as the "Utah Reign" over in Dubai against some of the top HS teams in the country. They've played Montverde Academy (won twice), Simeon of Chicago (win) and Huntington Prep (two losses).

In the last three games of the tournament, Jackson scored 50 (on just 27 shots), 40 - in a semifinal loss to Huntington Prep - and 42 - in a 3rd place win over Montverde. Simeon beat HP to win the tournament.

Jackson averaged 34 ppg for the tournament.

Jazz should've brought in Quincy Lewis as an assistant

IMO, he's the best prospect to come through Utah hoops in a really long time. And I'm pretty sure he will be a junior this year. So he's still really young.

Even though Haws was the primary scorer on LP's team, Jackson was the engine. Defended, rebounded, slashed, etc. it was almost as though Jackson knew he could dominate, but didn't want to show up the senior Haws out of respect for him.

If haws had gone down with injury, coach Lewis could have handed Jackson the reigns and LP wouldn't have skipped a beat.

When everything is said and done, I wouldn't be surprised if he's considered the best player to have ever come out of LP. And that truly is saying something.

I think you're right. Haws was lights out in the state tournament, but now that they will be handing Jackson the keys, he'll be every bit as good, probably better than Haws, even as a junior. If he can grow a couple inches - get to 6'2" - 6'3", he has a chance to be special.

It would be kind of funny if the only Lone Peak player to get drafted was Jordan Hamilton because he wasn't amazing in high school and not really in college either, yet somehow he convinced the 76ers to take a shot at him in the second round in '12. And he has hung around, even played with the Heat this year.

I think Frank is the most likely NBA player of the bunch. Then TJ, Mika, Tyler Haws. I'd say at least 2 of those guys make it....but you never know with the mission thing thrown on top. It's easier to get in when you can convince people you have tons of upside because you're really young.

I think you mean Justin Hamilton. I don't think Jordan Hamilton is from Utah.

I forgot Nick Emery. He's probably vastly underrated at this point because those other LP guys are taking his shine while he's gone. He was breaking high school tourney scoring records held by people like Carmello Anthony on much better teams than Frank is playing is on. No reason he couldn't be a high level scorer in college too.

BYU's pipeline is loaded, that's all there is to it. Just book them in the tourney for the next 10 years.
