Carroll signing bugs me no end

Obviously I made the account before Dwill left. Who gives a ****. For all you know it stands for most valuable P*ssy. Your username makes u seem like you wear a diaper while watching the game. Btw didn't say your stupid. Didn't get personal, just thinking that it is a little impatient and dumb to freak out right now when we haven't got past the trade deadline.

I think i am being called stupid by someone who seemingly backs Dwill as MVP? Folks i am not freaking out. I am seriously worried that our team is in the hands of the forces of evil. See i'm crazy, not stupid.

How is he evil? If it weren't for him I'm sure we would have Ed davis or Xavier Henry instead of Gordon, we would still have D-wills whining bitch ***, No Favors or Kanter. He matched for Millsap. Picked up Al for picks. I'm not worried about the hands that this team is in.

Ya we lost brewer, korver, boozer, wes. But, we have been an extremely competitive team with KOC. Go look at the majority (not all) of small market teams and they have not had near the same success we have had.

And your posts conjure the same image, except due to your lack of maturity.

Tell ya what. Lets agree not to respond to each others posts ever again.

After seeing Josh Howard play last night, I question how healthy he is; looked kinda sluggish compared to other players in the game. The Jazz may be more concerned over his leg injury than any of us realize. With coach Ty's emphasis on DEFENSE, we need fully healthy guys on the court who can MOVE to execute it. I suspect Carroll, who is a fierce defender, was signed as insurance in case Howard falters.

Ya know, could be. But i find it curious that he is just there with the team and not actually dressing for the games. Usually when you see this situation there is a reason such as issues with passing the physical, trade in the works and not wanting to incorporate them into team for just a few days. That he is shooting around before games or even practicing with team should be expected as he obviously can't just sit around. True, the signing "bugs" me but doesn't mean i am against the kid for any reason. I am looking for what people think is happening with this situation. Unless i am misunderstanding about a 1,000 posts it is generally agreed that a trade needs to happen, and i agree. Should we just jump into a deal without a sensible reason? Of course not!

Wow. This is probably one of the worst threads i've ever read on here. Just because we didn't already have a trade in place doesn't mean there won't be one. I would be pissed if we made a trade right now before certain players on other teams are even available to be traded. The reason we signed Carroll is because KOC is looking to be aggressive and trade one of our bigs and Harris. Most likely Al and Harris. There are 96 minutes at the 4/5 spots and KOC probably doesn't think Kanter and Favors are ready for 30+ minutes per night, so having Carroll and Evans for 10 minutes a night makes sense. If Al gets traded, there will be MANY nights where Kanter and/or Favors get into foul trouble so we will need another option.

To the OP- stop freaking out over this, if anything you should be encouraged that hopefully Al gets packaged with Harris for a real PG at the deadline.

Hopefully this will lead to something more but I am willing to wait and see.

Not sure if I agree with this. I mean it could be, but I'm crossing my fingers that this signing was because KOC is looking to ship Al out of town.

As i already stated i am not freaking out, just trying to understand the situation. By the way i'm not sure i want Al to be the one who goes, unlike you. I see that his attitude with the team is really great and may be the reason the so called "chemistry" is so good with this bunch. Sorry you don't like the thread. But could really care less. If it's such a useless discussion why respond at all? Personally i can do without your condescension.

They can only dress 13 anyway. That's only cause the lockout so they will actually go back to dressing 12, in which case we will probably see Jeremy and Carroll both on the bench. But, right now he is the 14th man on this team and should just be watching and helping with practice.

hahaha wow.. give this some time people. It's a piece they can use in a deal or keep if they give up some wingmen. It's stupid to freak out that a deal has not happened yet. Wait until the trade deadline, then you can freak out.

If i had to put money on something happening, I'd guess a Josh Howard trade is in the works. He's played well enough and has enough of a reputation that I think a contender would take a chance on him as a backup wing. IMO, Howard is probably worth a late 1st.

But that still makes one wonder about signing a PF. Maybe it's just KOC kicking the tires without concern over position. Or maybe a deal is being put together that would involve Big Al or even Millsap. I'm so tired of seeing Al try to shoot through a triple team instead of passing the ball out to open player(s).

I would break my own hand getting my pen out of my pocket to ink that deal.

Hmmm; I'm doubtful anyone would give up a late first for Josh; certainly would take it though!
Jefferson looked great passing the ball vs Memphis; didn't see any of the Hornets game, thankfully. Millsap took a shot over 3 defenders early in Memphis, which made me want to throw something...

You don't think the Celtics or Lakers would give up a pick for Howard? I have a feeling they might, since they lack depth.

Watching Evans play tonight, it is clear why he hasn't got off the bench in a while. The Carroll signing makes more sense now.
