So it's new year's eve again. The woman is getting ready for the party while I am popping a beer and thinking about important stuff, namely basketball. With the turbulence the Kings are experiencing, it is hard not to dream of pairing him with Favors. We have a lot of pieces atm, but need a first option.

Let's entertain the thought that we could get the Kings engaged in talks with a starting offer of Exum, Gobert and our no 1 in this upcoming draft. How good would we be with a starting five of Burke, Hood, Hayward, Favors and Cousins with Burks and Kanter coming off the bench? With Cousins as the first offensive option, Hayward as the second, Favors as the third and shooters at 1-3, we would be very hard to defend against.

We'd probably be just the same, cause Trey would still be taking all of the shots. He'd initiate the PnR like he does now, pretending not to see the open big, or the D would still make him be the one to take the shot.

Exum would then develop to the next Penny Hardaway after SAC adds two more lotto picks waiting for him to develop.

Our bigs are more thab sufficient. We need a better 1 gaurd, and some shooters/ defenders, hoping that is Dante and Rodney.

Look at some of the teams with the best bigs, where are they in the standings? Cousins and SAC are barely ahead of us. New Orleans and the demigod that is Anthony Davis aren't even in the playiffs (PHX has them beaten out, and OKC is gunnin for 9th).

Dirk and Aldridge aren't your traditional big, and you know it. Aldridge also has Mathews and Lillard. Griffin has Paul. Etc.

I won't gloat and tell from whom I heard, but according to someone on the court, that told me personally, Smart elbowed Cousins in the gut on that 'play.'

Seems unlikely they would want a pick or player to develop if they did trade him. He was their leading scorer and they were 13-3 with him before the injury. Seems unlikely they would trade him unless they got a pretty good player who could help them win now back.
