This is the section on the Jazz of the insider article

"Fear not Jazz fans. GM Kevin O'Connor is exploring ways to move up in the draft. They have the Warriors pick in 2013 (top 6 protected), veterans like Paul Millsap, Al Jefferson and Devin Harris, and might even be willing to add in another young player (as long as you don't ask for Derrick Favors or Enes Kanter).

The question is, how high can they go? Their presumed target is Weber State's Lillard. They need a point guard and know him better than any team in the league. But if they could get higher, and get an even better prospect, they would. They like Beal and Kidd-Gilchrist a lot too."

I think KOC is trying to get the 2nd or 3rd pick since the Wizards are now open to trading the pick and if he can't then it looks like Millsap to Portland could happen.

I just don't know what we've got, that we're willing to part with, that warrants such a high pick?????

I would trade Kanter for MKG or Beal yesterday.

Looking around the league, just about every team outside the top 4 need a SF and SG badly. That's why Jazz can't trade AJ or Millsap for one. Everyone has their bigs. Trade Kanter and pick up a replacement on the market for cheap.

This Millsap to Portland rumor is picking up steam. I wonder if Millsap + GS 1st + Next Years First is what they are exploring.

I wonder if we are willing to part ways with either Hayward or Burks? I'm not so comfortable getting rid of any of the 4 young guys.

The Jazz must really want Lillard, unless of course, this is all a smoke screen.

Burks is my favorite player on the jazz right now. Love his speed, athleticism and most of all his SWAGGER!

Having said that, it still might be a good move to trade him if we can get into the top 6. After all he hasnt Proven anything yet.

I would be sad if burks has to go, but hopefully i could get behind the new guy we would draft because it might be for the greater good of the team.

I would only let go of Burks for a great PG prospect (Don't love the Lilliard train), Drummond (If he would live up to the potential), Beal, Davis and maybe Barnes

Beal or die! But if we give up Hayward I will stop being a Jazz fan. DEAD SERIOUS. He's a better Ginobli

I also think he will be as good or better then Ginobili, but saying you will stop being a jazz fan is going a little overboard don't ya think. With that said I'd be mad for a month if we traded Hayward. I think Burks is the least of the four, and wouldn't hesitate to ship him off for Beal or MKG along with GS pick

As long as the young player is Miles or Evans...

I wouldn't give up any of our 4 young guys to move up. Jefferson, Millsap, Harris, Evans, Tomic, Miles, GS 1st, Utah 1st. That's what's on the table for trades (or S&Ts). Honestly, I don't even want Lillard. I'm not sold on Beal either. Maybe he'd be great. I thought Evan Turner was going to be great too, and look how that turned out. Gotta play it smart here. If what I have listed on the table isn't enough to move into the draft you just keep your powder dry and wait til next year to get your guy. The smart play is trading older assets for younger ones, not the other way around.

So, keep your grubby mitts off my Favors, Kanter, Hayward, and Burks. Not for sale, not unless it's a no brainer of a deal. And this aint it.

Is Beal really that good? I dont see All-Star potential in him at all.

I don't see all-star out of anyone other than Davis, really. Several other maybe's .. but I think there's just a ton of starters in this draft, but not franchise players.

He will be an elite shooter, above-average defender, and an above-average rebounder. High character guy as a throw-in.

Beal would be nice because he is more versatile than Burks. Beal can play off ball, there are still questions to how good Burks can be off ball. I would under no circumstances take Nene's contract on though. That is 4 years paying 13+ million a year (I believe) to a big who isn't that great.

Only Favors should be untouchable right now and Kanter close to it. Hayward is very tradeable, but it better be a great deal.

Beal is #3 on my draft board. I'm hesitant to trade Burks, but it would definitely be an upgrade.

PG - ???
SG - Beal
SF - Gordo
PF - Favors
C - Kanter

Get us the right floor general and three solid reserves and that team is filthy for the next decade.
