What's new

Cole Aldrich and Ed Davis

I'm trying to think of one player for The Jazz that went to the D-League and came back a better player.

Almond
Fes
Koufos
Miles a few years back

I truly believe that most Top 25 college basketball teams would beat any D-League team. In other words it would probably be a step back for Hayward.

I disagree. One year the Stampede had a guy who was the starting small forward on a Maryland team that won the national title and he was a double digit scorer for Maryland not the star but a good player. He was about the 8th guy on a team that was sub .500. I think any DLeague team has the ability to win the Final 4.

Give me a break dude.

i just don't think the D-league really develops players for our system. I don't think any player has come back better. And furthermore I think that league destroyed any potential Almond may have had. Not that he really had any, but he was cemented as a ball hog extraordinaire by playing there. If he had stayed here I think they would have had a better chance of breaking him of that.

The D-League isn't going to help a player that already plays no defense and doesn't pass.

The only thing I KNOW is that getting court time is better than sitting on the bench indefinitely. Koufos looked better every time he came back, and Fesenko would be out of the league had he not played in the D-League. Hayward could use 3 or 4 games to get his confidence up and to brush up his moves.

Sloan wants to dress 12, as should any NBA head coach, so they won't be heading down for awhile. One will likely go down when Memo is activated. Maybe they'll alternate occasionally.

D league versus Butler opponents..... a sanity check
