Corbin needs to start Howard and Favors

Favors needs more minutes, the Jazz need to either trade Black Hole Jefferson or bring him off the bench.

PG: Harris
SG: Hayward
SF: Howard
PF: Millsap
C: Favors

This is the best starting lineup for the Jazz as we get Favors minutes, Hayward plays the 2, Howard starts as he should over Bell, and better overall defense in the frontcourt. The second unit would be:

PG: Watson
SG: Burks
SF: Hayward/Howard/Bell/Miles (whoever Corbin decides to play longer)
PF: Favors/Kanter
C: Jefferson/Kanter (Depending on if we trade Big Al + Harris + Miles)

Really? This again? It hasn't even been a quarter of the season and we've already lost patience with AL? And even after the Jazz have been winning games convincingly, and just barely losing to the Lakers? Al has shown improvement in his passing and defense in the last few games, and I would say has won a few of them for the Jazz. Someone has to take the shot. If everyone passes the ball to everyone else, eventually the clock runs out and no shot goes up. This is even what some feel Hayward is doing wrong, not taking the blasted shot. Now Al takes the shot and we need to get rid of the 'black hole'? Al is a scorer, it's what he does. And he does it pretty good I might add. I watched him specifically in the LA game, and he passed it out when he didn't have anything. He's also a pretty high character guy, at least as far as we know he is. The Jazz need to wait until the trade deadline at least to make that decision, and I'd bet that they keep him.

As for Favors, he hasn't proven anything to me other than that he can dunk from about eight feet away from the rim. Nowhere near enough to warrant a starting spot on a playoff team. (and yes, that's what the Jazz are thanks to Al Jefferson.)

Favors gets in foul trouble when he starts.

Howard or CJ need to start to move Gordan back to SG.

Dude we aren't going to win a championship with this squad. We don't get two 3rd overall picks so they can play off the bench. They need to develop, both have much better upside than Jefferson. Plus Jefferson is a very valuable commodity

Howard is the best 6th man.
I agree about Favors though, but early foul trouble is a problem.
My only 2 gripes:
1: Favors' minutes
2: Hayward and Favors need time together. Hayward's always going to the rim and dishing to a wide open Raja Smell. But when Favors is in, Hayward can usually pass to him and get a great finish. Big Al doesn't cut and Milsap doesn't have the elite length and athleticm to finish or might be bodied up.

I don't care who starts every game as long as the young bigs get pt.

Who cares if Al started against the Lakers? I just wanted Favors to finish when it was obvious Big Al was tanked at the end of that game.

I'm also of the opinion that Favors/Hayward should be on the floor together, but honestly I'd rather see Howard take Hayward's place in the lineup for it to happen, though Howard has been great off the bench.

This. Favors needs more minutes, and needs to play with Hayward more. Howard needs to start at forward and Hayward needs to start at shooting guard.

I don't think Favors needs to start, but he should be getting 25 minutes a game. His contribution in just 12 minutes has been downplayed vs the Lakers. His length and persistence forced the Lakers farther from the basket and into lower percentage shots when he was in the game compared to our other bigs.

I wanted Favors to start at the beginning of the season but now I am in this camp. As long as they get good time (they did not in the Laker game) then I am good.

I haven't studied everything thoroughly , but I would not object to Hayward playing SG, and I would like to see a little more of Burks, Favors, and Kantor, especially when the guys they are backing up are having matchup problems or are tired. Maybe Evans too, not sure.

Laker games aside, Al has played really well I think. Corbin is playing this pretty well. Favors is getting about 20 minutes a game on average(I would probably go closer to 25). Favors needs to really improve his passing (no assists yet) and staying out of fould trouble. Until then Al should get the heavier minutes (except against the Lakers)

Favors and Kanter should play 20 minutes a game most games I think...

and this IS about the Lakers game.
Jefferson already proved that Bynum and Gasol are not great matchups for him, so why play Jffrsn 40 minutes when he is struggling against the same team he struggled against before, and on the 2nd game of a back to back no less.

i agree with those saying Hayward and Favors need to be on the court together. Hayward creates well for Favors and Favors seems to always be in the right spots to catch his passes. for whatever reason, those two seem to feed off each other very well.

I'm thinking about astroturfing my backyard like this. Grass is for rednecks and nature haters :)
