Could the Jazz Milk Washington if The Ace Saga Sours?

Huh. Not sure Givony is even saying here... The Jazz are working a trade? Or Ace is trying to submarine the pick? Or what?

If we can milk the Wizards for Tre + the unprotected rights to swap 2026 picks and I would be tempted to let them have him. Otherwise, I am jazzed to have Ace on the roster.

Ace's agent can threaten not to sign and sit out the year and re-enter the draft.

Ace's agent can also try to convince Washington to trade for Ace, like by offering Utah something crazy.

Maybe like Tre, Riley, the 2030 Suns swap rights, and rights to swap picks with Washington for 2026. I doubt any of this happens, but interesting to think about.

I don’t think it works the same way as the NFL. We own the rights to Ace Bailey.

Here is Austin Ainge CONFIRMING that Ace is excited to play here and they have been in contact. This was 2 hours ago.

Ace is going to say the right thing. The agent is going to say the real thing. That's how these things work.

We will see when he signs the contract. Should expect there to be a delay

Be naive if you want
You literally made a post about Utah wanting to trade for Brown and Austin just confirmed 2 hours ago there was ZERO communication on a trade for Brown. I think I'll believe them more than you.

Also a fun note about that interview. Pat loved Utah so much he thought about packing up and moving everything here.
