Could we be third trade partner with Knicks/Clips?

Evidently, to move Crymelo, they're looking for a partner. We have cap space and Lindsey's done this before. What could we get?

I'm thinking Redick even if he is a UFA. He'd be that killer shooter we need.

Hill, Redick, Hayward, a healthy Favors, and Gobert could be ****ing scary.

Someone figure out a deal. We probably wouldn't have to give up much at all.

Both Millsap and Butler have been rumored.
Let's keep Hill, Hayward, and Gobert... give up everything else including picks.

Agreed. I think. Also, I have fat-assed fingers.

But yeah. If the Bulls are insane enough to get rid of Butler, let's be the landing pad. He's fiery and in a stupid situation, I don't have concerns. You could also probably play him at the 4 some as well.

I would give up very little for Redick since the Jazz's only problem with wings is having them all healthy at the same time but the depth has largely mitigated the pain. But if you can nab him with some 2nds and just absorbing him into the cap then **** yeah. I'd be very skeptical, however.

I think the jazz should be looking to turn 2 eventual $20M/yr deals into 1 eventual $30M/year deal. Favors, Hood, and filler for Jimmy B?

From what I've heard it's Crawford the Knicks are looking to send towards a third team, not even sort of interested.

I bet if we would have drafted Devin Booker we would actually have a chance at trading for Butler. If not, at least we would have Devin Booker.

Instead, Jazz management went full Thee Jazz Fan and drafted a guy. Sweet. Yes, Trey Lyle's is the next Draymond Green they said. Can't wait. Literally can't wait. We need to win now. Why isn't he good?

Anyways, we need stuff to trade to make trades. Thats why you don't draft super safe and pick "Jazz guys". You need studs.

Screw the Clippers. Chase the star not the pieces. Not sure I'd want Melo for the next two years (although I think a change of scenery could make that contract not nearly as bad as it is in New York right now) , but that's the caliber of player the Jazz should be looking at. Much prefer renting Millsap or going all in with Butler, Hayward, Hill and Gobert. Butler and Hayward would be awesome together. Would have to hope that Jimmy Butler doesn't screw up the team's chemistry though. He comes across as a difficult guy to manage sometimes.

If the Jazz could land Butler...that would completely solve all of our problems. With Butler on our roster, the Jazz suddenly have the superstar/alpha dog we've been missing since d-will and an insurance policy if Hayward were to leave.

The Jazz with Butler and no Hayward = slightly better than the current Jazz.
The Jazz with Butler AND Hayward = championship contender.

Who are we kidding?...this will never happen, but it's nice to momentarily dream.
