Team Thee jazz fan:

PG - Reggie Jackson / Dennis Schroder
SG - Jimmy Butler / Alec Burks
SF - Khris Middleton / DeMarre Carroll
PF - Ryan Anderson / Terrence Jones
C - Karl Anthony Towns / Marcin Gortat

Team prodigy:

PG - Damian Lillard / Tony Parker
SG - Evan Fournier / Tony Allen
SF - Chandler Parsons / Brandon Ingram
PF - Al Horford / Ed Davis
C - Hassan Whiteside / Nikola Vucevic

Thee jazz fan's Case:

Four of my five starters are good to elite defenders, with all five able to score at will in a variety of ways.

Whiteside is all the defense Prodigy has. KAT is very good inside and out and I plan on doing lots of pick and roll and pop. With KAT with both Butler and Jackson. This will force Whiteside to guard on the perimeter and force bad matchups if prodigy switches.

Also I'm able to hide Anderson, my weakest defender as Horford spends most of his time outside these days and would only plug up the middle as Whiteside is strictly 15feet and in. Butler should be able to abuse Fournier on both offense and defense.

Prodigy's biggest mismatch is at pg. Lillard is one of the best pg's in the league, but this matchup is closer then one whould think. Jackson is an explosive physical pg that can shoot and score in his own right and will take advantage of Lillards porous defense.

Defense.

I believe I have as good a defensive team as anyone in this draft. We are an athletic team getting our hands on lots of loose balls and getting deflections as well as playing aggressive man defense. Being one of the more quicker and athletic teams will make for an overwhelming style of defense where my guys will impose their will on the opposition. This will allow us to switch on pick'n roll offense. Prodigy's team has a lot of shooters on the outside, but I really don't think I need to do much double teaming, therefore I think I can defend the three quite nicely.

Offense.

My offense at its best will be when we are getting stops on defense. My team wants to push the tempo on missed shots and create fast break opportunities through our man on man aggressive style of defense. Basically my aggressive style defense will set up a fast and aggressive offense.

My bench will play a similar style. And my bench in this series is key to my victory. My bench far outclasses Prodigy's bench. Allen and Parker are past their primes and while Ingram has a bright future, he will struggle as he's under developed and a rookie, who Carroll should be able to bother. Ed Davis has no offense. Vucevic is really the only threat I see on Prodigy's bench, and Gortat is no slouch in his own right.

prodigy's Case:

So I've built my team from the inside out. I wanted that interior defensive protection first and foremost with great shooting on the outside. Also my team needed a genuine superstar at the end of ballgames so I went with "video game dame" coming off a impressive season leading Portland much further than anyone could have predicted. He was rewarded a All-NBA 2nd team nod for his efforts. Hassan Whiteside had 269 blocks last season. This is the most number of blocks in the NBA since Marcus Camby in 07-08. It should be no surprise that Whiteside had the top defensive rating last season and finished 3rd in DPOY voting. With the best shot blocker in the league my opponents will have to know where he is on the court and there will be a intimidation factor not just blocking shots but effecting them as well. He isn't a slouch on offense either as some shot blockers are.

Playing next to Hassan and forming a strong interior D is Al Horford. Playing him at PF which i feel he is capable of doing. Al has always been a really solid defender, a great teammate that's willing to share the ball, and has an efficient offensive game. He's just a solid all around player. A veteran player you can count on. Starting at SF is Chandler Parsons. He is a very versatile offensive player who is just entering his prime. He had impressive shooting numbers last year shooting 49% from the field and 41% from the 3. He gives my offense a legit scoring threat from the SF position. At SG I'm starting the frenchman Evan Fournier. He was the outside shooter I was looking for at this position, shooting 40% from downtown. So far in his young career he's shooting 38.9% from 3 and the number looks to go up given his talent.

Coming off the bench from the center position I have Fournier's Orlando teammate Nikola Vucevic. I have the luxury of bringing in a 20-10 guy who is a great rebounder and solid defender off the bench. That's going to be tough to deal with. Backing up Lillard at point is Tony Parker. His resume speaks for itself. One of my favorite all point guards and still playing well. Brings that championship experience to my team. Backing up Parsons at SF is rookie Brandon Ingram who many believe to be the best player from last years draft. The freaky long Ingram has a shot at this years Rookie of the Year. I have Tony Allen as my backup SG giving me a more defensive minded option than Fournier who was 2nd team all defense last season. Allen is just tough as nails and i love watching him battle. Finally as my backup PF I have Ed Davis, who after bouncing around seemed to find his perfect landing spot in Portland last year. He fills the energy role perfectly being one of the better rebounders in the game while protecting the rim defensively. I feel like my team has a nice balance to it.

I don't like either team. Thee has burks doe.

Prodigy has no PFs and 4 centers.

Thee has no good PFs.

I think the trio of Jacksn/Butler/Middleton = Lillard/Fournier/Parsons

I like KAT better than Whiteside, but I like Horford better than Anderson.

I vote for Prodigy because I dont think Anderson is starting caliber and the guy behind Andersn isnt even rotation caliber. Other than that Thee has a way better bench though. But still I vote Prodigy by a hair.

Anderson is a good player and Horford can't guard Anderson on the perimeter. Anderson isn't strictly a three point shooter.

I voted accidentally again(**** phones tbh). I wanted to vote for Thee.

Least compelling matchup to me. I predict a swift round 2 exit for the winner.

KAT vs Whiteside H2H last season:
KAT - 10 ppg, 36% FG, 9 rpg, 2 BPG
Whitside - 17 ppg, 65% FG, 11.5 RPG, 7 BPG

I win 4 out of the 5 positions, only position Thee wins is SG because of Butler.
