Never dated a Russian but I grew up in Brooklyn so I knew plenty of them. I think it depends on the generation - if you're dating a second or third generation Russian chick they're pretty much like everyone else. However the ones that are new to the country (which are probably the ones they're hawking on this site) are not very affectionate and definitely on the cold side. I think it's more the culture than anything else. In Russia, smiling at someone for no particular reason is looked on as a sign of weakness.

Seriously though, I can't get enough of the accent. No other accent does it for me like Russian, Ukrainian and the like.

from what I hear, the skewed sex ratios in Ukraine & Russia are why so many of them can be found to be datable on these websites.

My brudda dates a 2nd-gen Canadian mutt, who's half-Ukranian. As regular Candann as they come.

There was once this red-head Russian chick (with the biggest natural torpedoes of any girl that I know) who wanted the Dalameat back in the day (stoked, you'll remember this)-- but as Dr Peeks has reported himself: zero personality. And I really mean zero. One of the most socially awkward kats that I know. But dayum she fyn.


Edit: Just remembered another Russian I was almost involved with. This one had character in spades-- but she was super skeezy. Like, probably had type II herpes skeezy. But again, she was fyn.

I can't comment on much else. I'm sure their talent pool is like every other country's.

This might be a joke thread. I see some of these same ads. Our online profile gets targeted as male by the sports streaming sites. That said, I can share a bit of experience with Russians and Asians.

I don't know if you've visited Russia, but it is a pretty screwed up society culturally speaking. A lot of cities still live under the shadow of Soviet Russia and seem like dilapidated post-war towns. The economy is mixed, with a very wealthy class of land owners and people who work on the gas pipelines vs. the more average and rural people. Moscow is becoming famously expensive. There are Russian mafia and gangs running amok, and the political climate is colored by this type of 'law of the jungle.' Some of that is happening in the U.S. too, but that's another topic.

The point is, the culture post-communism is cold and depressed. Russian women I've met generally don't have much emotional intelligence or warmth. They're very practical and materialistic. Many would marry for money or property, or just to have a little fun. The divorce rate, from what I've seen, is very very high, and some women take marriage very casually. If it suits the woman, she might leave for someone else, or leave just to start a new life. Quite frankly, it looks despondent and cynical. There are exceptions, of course, but I have yet to meet anyone from Russia who wasn't affected by the culture I've described.
 
If I lived in Russia I would stick with the chechens and I think I would get along with them well due to religion. However this video brings my opinion in question. It a pretty good series on youtube.

I get these same pop-ups and assumed my wife has been shopping for a foreign girlfriend. Thanks for breaking it to me GF. Now I can tell it's how desperate for women this place (Duck Rogers) is.
