Depth Chart Predictions

I'm interested to see what type of reaction people will have around here when Corbin finishes with an all veteran lineup.

Harris
Howard
Jefferson
Okur
Millsap

I think something like this is most likely. I do not think Ty will stray far from Jerry's methods. If he stays the course the starters will be:

PG - Harris
SG - Bell
SF - Howard
PF - Millsap
C - AJ

I certainly do not wish this, but I am afraid this is something we will see way more often than we want to. In a perfect world our starters would be:

PG - Harris
SG - Burks
SF - Hayward
PF - Sap
C - Favors

AJ and Kanter off the bench would be some SERIOUS matchup issues. Bringing in a second team of:

PG - Watson
SG - Bell
SF - Miles
PF - Kanter
C - AJ

That second team pounds many first teams out there. Kanter and AJ tear it up. Then sprinkle the minutes around our 3rd team guys and mix and match for those b2b2b stretches. We have the possibility to win way more than people think. We are going to be the team that other teams pushing for the playoffs will not want to play at the end of the season. It's gonna be fun.

If you listen to Ty's interview on KFAN, it's pretty clear he doesn't see Howard as being ready to play much off the bat. So realistically, Howard is going to slot in for whatever wing isn't playing well after about a month if everyone is healthy. In the dream scenario, Burks shows he can handle a regular job and Howard pushes Bell out of the rotation.

Hayward/CJ/Burks/Howard is not World Class, but I can't think of another NBA team where every 2 and 3 is a threat to drive. They still have to be able to shoot to make it work, big if, but it could be fun to watch if Ty really has ideas to work more wing initiated offense into the scheme.
