Aint seen this here vid before. He's usually a little surly with the press.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XI8aeuRFiXY

Just goes to show you what a good guy Deron is. We really need to surround him with a winning team. The cap and the fact we play in Utah is killing us.

I kinda like the look he gives the camera when he tells his brother's high school coach to play his boy more.

Deron done said before that he hated rasslin when he started, and that he always cried and tole his Mama he didn't wanna do it. His mean ole Mama made him go rassle anyhowze. So, then, he said, he just decided he wuz gunna pin everybuddy who he took on. He wuz Texas state champ by age 7.

"My research (rumor and wiki) turns up why Deron Williams is the best point guard in the business. He’s a wrestler....Now watch Deron Williams play. His fakes are wrestling fakes. His baits are wrestling baits. He lulls his defenders into relaxing a moment too long before driving past them. On defense the guy has a strange presence, an odd awareness of the space around him. He is used to smaller areas of competition, like a mat, and shrinks the space an opponent gets to work in.

What does this mean? For parents, it means get your kid on the mat early. Give him a base of conditioning and grit to take to other sports. Let him feel what it’s like to win and lose alone. Do that and he’ll be a better athlete, and more important, a better teammate...Watch how he interacts with teammates, opponents, and refs. I see respect, but also an expression that says he could kick their butts if they don’t shape up."

The onliest thang I ever seen lil Chrissy-girl rassle with was thin air, when floppin.

Dwilll was always nice to me at the golf course. Always in a joking mood. But I have heard he has a short temper.

Doesn't the cap actually work to our benefit?

If the cap didn't exist then wouldn't we be put at an even greater disadvantage as big market teams such as NY and LA could buy up everyone else? This is how it's always been explained to me. It makes sense too, if the cap didn't exist, why wouldn't bigger market teams just offer more money than the Utah Jazz? If the cap didn't exist, then couldn't the richest owners/franchises just buy up the best players? ala the New York Yankees?

The cap works to benefit small market teams. If we are struggling with large contracts and the inability to offer large money for free agency, it's not the "cap's" fault but our own mismanagement.

ok, I'm probably one of the last people who should post any sort of answer to this, but....

I think revenue sharing and all that other stuff is supposed to minimize the differences between large market and small market teams, to some degree. But it doesn't equalize things completely.

And the cap could hurt a small market team more because it is less capable of paying the luxury tax if it exceeds the cap.
at least that's my guess.

i wonder what his mood is like now, hearing other teams talking about signing away his team's leading scorer and rebounder, and knowing that they totally blew off one of his good friends in kyle korver.

all fatalistic kidding aside, it was nice to hear him talk about sloan that way and give unsolicited props to his teammates for getting him to an AS game.
