And it certainly does look like we dodged a bullet. But if they can get Howard to play with D Will, that is going to be a formidable team.


And of course the NBA continues down the path to 2-3 super-teams in each conference, and everyone else as d-league filler.

I think it is a smart move on his part. Instead of taking the 2 year/39 million extension he can opt out and actually sign a 5 year/101 million contract with the Nets. Or a 4 year/73 million deal somewhere else. This definitely doesn't mean he is leaving the Nets.
