SALT LAKE CITY — Donovan Mitchell couldn’t get a contested shot to drop as time expired and the Utah Jazz fell to the Sacramento Kings 102-101 on Friday night.
It is Sacramento’s first win of the season.
Here are three takeaways from the game.
- Up 101-100, the Jazz got a stop, but allowed Harrison Barnes to glide in for the putback to give the Kings the lead. That was a theme all night, as Sacramento finished with 11 offensive rebounds compared to just six for Utah.
- The Jazz were bad on both ends of the floor in the first quarter, as they trailed 28-18, and although they rallied, they could never get control of the game.
- Utah committed 17 turnovers, which led to 28 points for the Kings.
Up next: Sunday at LA Clippers
